  1. South of heaven - Slayer
  2. 3 stars and one sun - Down
  3. Black hole sun - Soundgarden
  4. Down in a hole - Alice in Chains
  5. Not a chance. If it doesn't improve sound or feel when playing, what's the point?
  6. Looks like it's got the same tuners as my Affinity P bass. They are crap and to fit decent ones, you need to increase the hole size in the headstock.
  7. If I want to hear a song exactly the same as the album version, I'll listen to the album. For me music should be art and repeating the same thing for 20 years isn't art. Sometimes the live variations work, sometimes they don't but at least it adds interest. I saw Smashing Pumpkins live once, they played everything exactly like the records and it was pretty dull, they looked bored as well
  8. I'd go as far as say the first five albums were great (bass volume aside). The black album did have some classic tunes. One and Enter Sandman may not be as heavy as the earlier stuff but still up with their best songs. Everything after that has just been forgettable really.
  9. I can never remember the words and that seems to work. We don't do ballads
  10. Metallicas new stuff is good, perfectly competent BUT from the biggest metal band in the world it should be a LOT more special.
  11. I've just started doing backing vocals. It's not as easy as I thought and all I do is mostly just randomly shout the f word or yeaaaahhhhhhhh Punk does not always require complex lyrics
  12. Auto pilot - QOTSA with Mark Lanegan
  13. She bangs - Ricky Martin I deeply apologise for knowing that this song exists and for reminding you that it exists.
  14. She bangs the drum - Stone Roses
  15. Cannon ball - The Breeders
  16. Happy Talk - Captain Sensible Beaten to the obvious suggestion
  17. Happiness in slavery - Nine Inch Nails
  18. Green Machine - Kyuss
  19. Back door man - The Doors
  20. Baby got back - Sir-Mix-A-lot
  21. I listen to Cult of Luna a lot, they're an incredibly creative and talented metal band. This is my first listen to their Eternal Kingdom album and its absolutely killer start to finish with Ghost Trail being the highlight. It's quite long at 10 minutes and a bit prog at times but well worth a listen.
  22. I'll work to 65, get the mortgage cleared and that's enough. I don't think I'll be capable of my job at 70. I've seen a few try to work past 65 but none have lasted.
  23. Care homes are businesses, all businesses exist purely to make profit. I'll never get there, I'm checking out at 65, it's the only way I can avoid working up to 70.
  24. Witchcraft. Burn them and throw them in the sea.
  25. I'm sure they could but would it sell any more basses and make more money?
