  1. I saw a band support Motorhead once and the drummer tried covering a Micky Dee drum solo. That didn't go well. When he played it the audience looked bored. When Micky played it the crowd loved it and he was so loud that filter lenses fell out of the stage lights leaving them without coloured lights for the rest of the show
  2. Obviously that's the time to break in to the material from your experimental jazz side project. They're not in to it anyway.
  3. More Cult Of Luna today, their Raging River album. What an absolutely blinding bit of heavy music. If you've not heard Cult Of Luna I recommend checking them out. Keep an open mind, this is a very long way from traditional metal and I find it very musically interesting as well as a little hypnotic.
  4. I used to play in a band where both guitarist used these. They sound incredible and have some serious power output.
  5. I saw them on the first tour when they suddenly went huge and they were amazing live. The records have gone downhill since then and the live performances I've seen have been a bit lacking. Maybe the sudden stardom following their first record had a bit of a negative effect
  6. I tried being clever and failed. It's green onions, not tomatoes. Ignore my incompetence
  7. Green tomatoes - jazz weirdos
  8. I'll help myself to another while I'm here. It's a good'un Avon - QOTSA I was at this shoe as well. Best set of the Festival and best I've ever seen at Glastonbury
  9. London Calling - The Clash
  10. Yes. The Radiohead song was Subterranean homesick Alien Back to business Song for the deaf - QOTSA
  11. Subterranean homesick blues - Radiohead
  12. That can't be right. At least one of those words must be California if it's an RHCP line
  13. Black - Pearl Jam He repeatedly sings "tattooed hairy thing" throughout the song. At least that's what it sounds like. There are also mentions of "legs spread out before meat" and "sheeps on empty canvas"
  14. I swap between fingers and pick depending on the song but I do it because of the different sounds. You could probably even it out a bit with EQ and compressor pedals but it'll all depend on how hard you're picking with each style.
  15. Thanks you lordship
