1. Strictly for fun, mature, power trio requires drummer. P.M. if interested. Would make a great 2nd project for the right person, as we're not looking to kill ourselves with gigs. 1 (or 2 Max) per month, whatever suits everyone.
 2. these may very well be just what I'm looking for. Photos please! If they are, I'll make an offer.
 3. Awesome guy! Bought a EHX Blackfinger and couldn't be happier. Great comms, and a super speedy delivery! Arrived the very next day after deal was struck! Great doing business with you sir!

 9.
Sold pending.
Let me know if this falls through buddy. Unlikely as it is... Cheers!
 10. Still a rivetting read buddy. Thanks so much for the diary. Very inspiring. I'd love to pop through from Sheffield at some point to see it when completed.
 11. hmmmm that's odd, I still can't connect. On either my PC or iPad. I wonder why? I'll try from work on Monday.
 12. Well I use it with the mix at a bit less than half which gives me a nice traditional initial big thump, but then the echo/reverb just fills the gap and carries me through to the next note better. I dunno if *bigger* is an appropriate way to describe what I'm hearing... The original tone is still only as big as before of course. It's odd because I had always read that it can muddy, but I'm finding it doesn't really muddy so much as "pads out". It may be the pedal suits my band or music... I'm not sure.. But I like what it's doing a lot, which is what drove me to write the review even though it flies in the face of popular bass tone theory...
 13. Well I own a PedalTrain Jr... and it's full. I *think* I want to add a delay but I don't really want a bigger board. So what are my options? Well I tried a couple. The first one was to squash the pedals closer together and squish a Mooer Ana Delay into the tiny gap... Erm it kinda worked but the Ana Delay isn't really the sound I was looking for... and now I'm not convinced that I actually want a delay at all on the bass. My second option was to take the TC Helicon Hall of Fame out of the board (it's great but is under used on my board with all its options and reverb types...) and replace it with a unit which does both delay and Echo if such a thing even exists. A quick search later and yep, theres a pedal called "Dispatch Master" by EarthQuakerDevices. I took a chance & went ahead and ordered one. Overview http://www.earthquak...patchmaster.htm Its a small pedal, the same case as an MXR "phase90" which is ideal for me and fits in well on the PT Jr. Its a VERY un-rock and roll graphic, being a baby blue retro telephone picture on a white case. I dug deep to move beyond it's uncool looks and assess it anyways. It's a simple layout for 2 effects in one. A true bypass switch, a ridiculously bright white LED, and 4 rotary pots labeled "Reverb" "Repeats" "Mix" and "Time". Standard 9v input (negative center 2.1mm barrel) and notably no battery option. Build Well, I dunno about how long it'll actually last but as I said earlier, its the same case as an MXR Phase 90 and the knobs are pretty standard... so nothing short of Thermo Neuclear War is gonna stop it from working IMO. I mean some of the older Phase90's came to earth from deep space piggybacked to metiorites and are still in functional condition. Hard to imagine this would be different. Sounds This being my first foray into delay on bass (I'd always read that it's not really a very desirable effect on bass) I don't have many comparisons. (OK ...not my first. My first was the Mooer Ana delay which arrived about a week before and was rejected almost immediately.) My initial reaction was wow, this thing sounds nice straight away. It just has the one verb sound, unlike the Hall of Fame, but like baby bears porridge, it was just the right sound... Simple! (Unlike the HoF which has so many sounds you seem to spend all your time making you mind up which one sounds best *today*!) The verb is just controlled by the "Reverb" knob which just adds 'more' to the sound. The delay is a very simple affair too having just a "repeat" knob for the amount of repeats, and a "time" knob which oviously just adjusts the speed of the repeats... These two are then able to be blended with your original sound with the "mix" control... There's some great sound examples but only for guitar on youtube linked from the website. http://www.earthquak...patchmaster.htm The bottom one best shows how the controls work. Conclusion I find my sound now feels like it is lacking when I don't have this pedal engaged (with a nice low blend on the mix control) I'm currently in a power trio and the bass can fill so much more of the sonic landscape when engaged. The way I use it it's still kinda subtle but most definitely *there*. I'm sure for most uses it's probably a little over-simplistic and possibly not versatile enough... (It's not really a powerful or versatile delay device, and it's definitley not a very versatile reverb at all.) However if you just want a massive fat sound it's possibly just the ticket. And if you listen to the samples its a beautiful sounding pedal... I wouldn't be without it now.
 14.
Hiya We're having a summer clear out and the DB728 will become available if this is still of interest? We may also have some cool Glock gear as well. Ciao Ian
Did I miss this post 2 years ago? It sounds like you're saying you have (or *had*) a DB728 for sale and was asking me if I was interested...? What happened to it?
 15. Is this link working for anyone else? I can't connect...
 16. I hope he doesn't mind me posting this feedback. I just did a deal with "whitlock1987" (I bought his Fender Aerodyne Precision Bass) What can I say? ...A smashing fella, great communication and very up-front honest about the whole deal. The bass was exactly as described (actually it was a pleasant surprise to find that the bass was even better "in the flesh" than the photos looked...) A really nice accomodating guy to deal with! Deal with confidence! GremlinAndy
 17.
Andy came and purchased my Fender Aerodyne yesterday, driving a couple of hours to get to Wolverhampton from Sheffield. Can't praise the man enough - lovely chap, kept me in the loop 100% of the way - and the icing on the cake was that he genuinely seemed thrilled to buy the instrument from me. I can rest assured knowing that he will take great care of something that holds many fond memories of mine. All the best mate, hope to do business again in the future
I promise I'll look after her and give her some outings! She's currently top of my list of basses, and I spent all day noodling on her today! A real player! Lovely! I'm sorry to have cut and run so quickly yesterday. Thanks again for the bass and the great comms!
 18.
Perhaps someone could put SOLD in the title please?
Wouldn't it have been more polite to allow the op some time to come online before you prompt the change of title?
 19. Tis at home with me now... and it's even nicer in the flesh than the photos!! The semi transparent finish reveals a beautiful bookmatched top in what looks like flamed maple under the gloss. Just a few very minor (natural use) scratches which buffed right out, ...a new set of strings and its a minter! Good luck with your Strat Rich... I hope you're as happy with that as I am with this!! Andy
 20.
? Bump
I could hardly make myself clearer!
 21.
bring me my troll-hammer bitch.
Lol
 22.
I've not used a clip on tuner so I don't know about it's multitude of practical shortcomings, but I would imagine it makes your bass look less cool
I wouldn't be seen dead with a clip on tuner. I'd rather be out of tune by a full tone (whatever the heck a tone is!) for a full gig than have one of those ass ugly things sticking out of my base.
 23.
Do us Bassists really need pedals?
Need. No Enjoy. Yes, quite possibly
