1. This was Happy Jacks! and yes, infra red technolgy, makes for a lovely clear sound, follow the link on the original post, very interesting, and it works really well. This sytem was used on Zon's originally and the inventor decided to make his own basses, this is the result.
2. Will measure it tonight and get back to you. However, I am no 5 stringer and I find it comfortable to play.

Hii Guys, This is a stunning bass, that sounds so clear but unfortunately it isn't for me, firstly because I am just not using 5 strings enough and partially because I keep gravitating back to my trusty Warwick. This is way too good a bass to be not being used enough. http://www.lightwave-systems.com/products/...bass_guitar.php Forgive my bad photography: Comes with original gigbag and charger, and is in immaculate condition, totally as new. A new one from Bass direct is £1299. I am asking £750.00 plus postage, or you are of course more than welcome to collect

7. Hi Mate, I wasn't being sarcastic at all, although I can see how you might think so. I am actually grateful for the input. Cheers Stuart
8. I bow to your knowledge my friend, and thank you for putting me right. Cheers Stuart
9. It is interesting what you say, and you may well be right but I have had a Pro II and moved it on as it wasn't a patch on this one, the neck on the proII i had looked like maple and the neck profile wasn't as good, this one is a darker wood and needs waxing. This is a far better quality than the II I had, so I really don't know what to think.
10. My main bass is a warwick Dolphin Pro 1, in a painted black/red finish (see my acatar), it has a bolt on neck and two J pickups. It has one of the thinnest Warwick necks I have ever played and has a fabulous growl. I have never seen another one like it with that configuration. Does anyone know anything more about this. It isn't the Japanese Series 2, it is a German made pukka Warwick, and I was once told it was a special order and quite pricey. Any info would be gratefully recieved
11. Hi, My main bass is the red version of this except it has a JJ pickup configuration. Great bass, wouldn't part with it. Cheers Stuart

13. I am almost speechless, how can they re-hash the Entwhistle bass so blatantly and award it to Adam Clayton, this is almost spitting on John's grave in the name of commercialism. What next, The Bill Wyman signature Hofner violin bass?
14. I'll get my coat.... Great playing, loving your slap video, which is amazing as I don't actually like slap!
15. Put me in the queue for the eden head please
16. I use badges for bands and they are excellent and quick
17. 1) Become comfortable with 5 string. 2) Learn the Saxophone. 3) Improve my singing harmonies. 4) Restrict myself to 3 groupies (I wish)
18. This one tickled me in a description... fretless jazz bass mex, useing in my indy band got to sell to play off student det If I was him I would be asking for my money back!
19. Hi, Below is the spec, but my one is the limited edition amber coloured one. http://www.imuso.co.uk/Information-Menu/Re...Electric-Guitar Can take some pics if you are interested. Cheers Stuart
20. Wow, great answers guys. And yes it is the same Sabre, and it is fantastic which has inspired me to push on with the 5. I want to be able to change between 4's and 5's without worrying, I can pick up a 5 now and play it, but I am sort of treating it as a 4 with an extra string instead of the whole entity approach, which I know is wrong. Also I realise you can't just drop these lower 'bomb' notes in as they do tend to be quite noticable, so I must stay in context of the song of course. I agree, it is probably one of those, practise is everything scenarios, just as when I was learning backing vocals and playing bass together, thought I'd never crack that, now it is second nature. Thanks all and keep it coming. Cheers and Merry Christmas Stuart
