Years ago I had an old Columbus Jazz copy which had a massive Cargo Studios sticker right across the back. Did a bit of digging and found a record of a Columbus J on an ancient gear manifest from the studio - which was for a time co-owned by Peter Hook.
So I like to entertain the idea that Hooky might have had the occasional play on my old Columbus. Tenuous, I admit.
Check the back for "knee-cap rash"

Interesting... There's one just come on Reverb yesterday based in London for £500....
Both are very tempting, both in much better nick than my 605. UK one seems to have the original Pre-amp. Rather than repair mine's solder blobs etc I replaced with an Audere courtesy of @Chimike

Hi Mike,
Many thanks for your kind offer. I'm just the other side of Lewes, so not very far at all. I'll check everything out, but yes at some point I'd love to bring it round to test the valves.
Any other info you have on this head would be fantastic - I'm trying to track down a user manual for it, but not very successful so far.
I also need to find a good local (Sussex) tech as well - it could probably do with a service and my AH600SMX certainly needs a service.
Thanks everyone for your help so far.
Was about to suggest that you PM'd @chimike having been to get a TE1818 from him recently and witnessed some of his TE wondroussness . Enjoy your great Amp when it arrives.
Are you aware that Ashdown have floated the possibility of undertaking servicing classic TE kit, though Essex a fair way from Lewes.

Really fancy trying one of these after hearing such good things about them. But not only do i already have surplus cabs and no gigs, but all the money I've raised or saved is about to go on a BF Midget. Bloody GAS.
Will report when I've got it. Friend and I might be going halves on Berserker's Epifani that's on here. If I pay half then he wants to buy the Bassblock that's on here to use with it. I just want to hear an AH500x thru an Epifani @ 4ohms. Were we referring to GAS at some point ?!??

No worries about post hijacking etc, it's called having a natter in my book
The Basschatter who I got it off originally wanted somewhere in that region and then dropped it to about £200 so I'm feeling like just letting it go for slightly under that. There was / is one on t'bay for £180 so I just matched that.
Same seller as I got N115 from, in Brum.
Didn't sell his 210, he's also got a Laney Nexus 1000watt tube pre/class D on sale.

Bought a year ago from a Basschatter and it's in the same condition as when I picked it up - mint. Look closely at the feet (will stand vertical too) and you'll see there's hardly a mark on them. At 17.5kg it certainly isn't bad to shift around and the material (inc grille) hasn't got a mark on it, looks like new. I don't have the original box unfortunately. Smoke-free home.
Pick up preferable, I'm very near Normanton just off the M62 Jcn 31. Could meet up but would not fancy cash. See feedback, oh and I've met @Dad3353 in person, don't know if that counts does it? 😉
Sorry to have hijacked your post, GLWTS / Bump. Just bought N115 would have thought you'd also get £225 for this.

Still sounds awesome with Room to breathe. Am casting around for a decent octaver/synth to see if I can induce queasiness in my Jam pals that isn't in response to my playing. Or Rig induced delusions of grandeur/megalomania.😀😃🤣

I do get such a lift from Scottish country dance music!
Try the Peatbog Faeries. Croftwork my favourite, some nice Bass.

As soon as I hear the intro to this, I'm instantly up:
The Isleys version is great but this one edges it slightly for me.
Saw them live at Forum in Kentish Town a few years ago. Once I got into the sound "sweet spot" I even attempted some dancing. They were top notch !

With what might be my absolute number one favorite guitarist Bill Frisell, though Skúli Sverrisson's bass here is fabulous too:
Skúli is brilliant , saw him playing with Allan Holdsworth @ Brentford Watermans many moons ago. There's a probable urban myth about him clashing with Bjork when he was producing the Sugarcubes !

I cannot see any basses on the current Gordon Smith website.
Check the Gordon Smith Group on Facebook from earlier this yr. A cute white semi hollow short/medium scale's in prototype stage.

I don’t see that Gordon Smith have been mentioned yet ?
Yes Indeed they were testing a gorgeous white semi-hollow one earlier this year. Always amazes me how reasonably priced GS guitars are.
