@JottoSW1 why not buy a Trace Elliot head to power it?

You can find a half decent AH range head for around £200 and get the full TE experience for virtually nothing.

Mr Greek,  can't recall if you are the Gent selling the Ah500x monster Only trouble with the notion is that I'd end up being lynched by the neighbours.😂😂

@chimike will pm you definitely want to buy this Cab

Just had a quick listen to this jotto , there’s some nice bass that comes in at around 5.15 👍 , I think @Frank Blank will like this 🙂

Yeah, didn't remember I had it, a friend lent it to me mid 1980's. Thought I'd see how my little Musical Fidelity Speakers coped, answer jolly well. Would be enhanced by alarge Camberwell Carrot though

I had an Audere in my Jazz and loved the range of tones it offers. The impedance switch felt a bit useless to me (huge effect though!), but the EQ is good. Because my bass had a side jack, I chose the version with passive tone control at the 4th spot where otherwise the jack would have been. I was annoyed with all the knobs working counter-intuitive though because it was a righty unit and all my other basses have reverse pots.

Got an Audere courtesy of @chimike of this Parish. All hitched up and this Bass sounds epic.  Gonna need a bigger Amp

The early episodes are also fun for seeing Garfield Morgan drifting in and out of the series, before he became the third key member of the cast.

Morgan used to live in Turnham Green (Chiswick) at the other end of my road, I'd see him all the time walking up to Chiswick High Road.

In a Dennis Waterman twist, Rula Lenska used to live about 100 yards further up ... they must have been bumping into each other all the time.

Yeah, encountered him a few times, an extremely tall Gent

just when I thought I couldn't love this guy more.  beautiful to watch. You notice how as his first note approaches he seems to slip towards a trance state?

Then he's gone. He's in that wonderful place that only a repetitive bass groove can take you.

Hadn't  remembered he was on Stratus till I saw him trancing through this. Cobham and Bolin. The guy can play anything. The vids ramble a bit but He's so cool.

Yeah true but they don't do their whole range left handed. I know it's not practical for most manufacturers but I think it's great that Ashdown have said everything is available in left handed.

Agreed in spades. Had a weird yen for a Lefty MM Bongo. No longer available new, saw a Great red one in US but most definitely unobtainium

True, and that's about 80 percent of the site content spread over various threads! The main reason I raised it separately and in the lefty section was because they said they'd do left handers in all ranges too, which I think is great. You only really get close to that with Sire at below £1000, everyone else just does a few "select" models in left handed.

Some of the Corts are ok @ below a Grand? Admittedly I only have an ancient but pristine Action 5 scored for £70 last year. It's pretty good.

    Vulfpeck and Joe Dart.

Vulfpeck are fun. Joe a fantastic bassist that has penned one of the iconic lines of recent years - but there’s an extraordinary amount of hype around him that eclipses his output.

In fairness - it’s hype he hasn’t asked for nor stoked - but there’s something very premature about the pedestal he’s been put on by certain folk and media.

Really enjoy Vulfpeck but I know what you mean. Some of their getting into it moves on the live vids look a bit false/mannered. The Gurning guy playing the hi-hat's highly amusing tho. They came over a bit snobby in the vid plugging the plug ugly MM signature IKEA Bass too.. Finally, Mr Dart's neck vertebrae are going to be utterly wrecked by his late 50's surely.
