  1. I really liked that Fontaines D.C. song.
  2. Try DR Lo Riders. Similar to Roto nickels but smoother and last longer.
  3. I would say Geddy's tone in that song sounds amazing. Even soloed.
  4. I am, they tell me they can produce an amp now that doesn't catch fire?
  5. Well... it's a £200 instrument. A lot of cheaper Jazz copies have the pickup routing. Has said earlier, MIM Fenders have the same route and they cost three times the price. I would say these basses are more for upgrading at a later date anyway, especially if you're only interested in the Jazz body and neodymium pickups.
  6. Pint of bitter and some cheese and onion crisps coming straight up for you squire.
  7. I've heard that most hi mass bridges will require a shim?
  8. Fender Mexican basses have the routing and they are certainly not cheap and cheerful.
  9. Do hi mass bridges provide better intonation than vintage/BBOT bridges?
  10. What advantages does a hi mass bridge have over a BBOT bridge?
  11. Reminds me of when I had my BFM cab. I heard one punter nearby saying "That looks like it should be on a spaceship!"
  12. This is a big if but if you ordered a Sandberg SL directly from them, they might be able to move the MM pup into the sweet spot? I have no idea if they could do this but worth an ask.
  13. Good to know has the Vintage basses are also great for the money.
  14. Hmm... I'm going to need some help with that one. Quite regularly I see an item for sale in the States being the exact same price here except the dollar sign becomes a pound sign.
  15. How about the hardware - Bridge, machine heads etc? Sorry for all the questions, I'm close to pulling the trigger on one of these!
  16. 😄 I don't think I've ever sound checked and said "Can you turn the bass down?"
  17. Never tire of this. If a gear arrangement is made before the gig, fair enough. But to turn up to a gig and expect someone to lend you an amp is unprofessional and lazy. My reply is always "I have a DI box you can use."
  18. Love my Sandberg SL. 6lbs 7ozs. No neck dive at all thanks to Sandberg now producing the lightest tuners on the market. Black Label pups sound awesome with tons of EQ options from the 2 band active EQ. It can do the passive thing too if the battery dies. Add that to Sandberg's excellent build quality and you have a beast of a bass!
  19. How are the pickups? I've heard nothing but rave reviews about the Neodymium pickups.
