  1. What are the elctronics please? And is there a truss rod adjustment at the body end of the graphite neck? Thanks.
  2. Hi, has this bass been de-fretted or was it made as a fretless with block inlays? Cheers.
  3. Hi, Bought the PJB HA2 headphone amp in April at the start of lockdown. Incredible quality but have just bought an expensive AER amp that has headphone out and aux in so need to claw back some funds! Looking for £200 but will include postage. It really is as new and comes with the original packaging including leads and everything else. It is the second model in the Bighead series of headphone amps and it is a step up from the first model. It has a high resolution USB audio interface and long lasting lithium ion battery that is rechargeable. It is a headphone booster amp as well as a two band eq for bass. More information at: https://pjbworld.com/cms/index.php/product-ha-2/ Here is a review on YouTube:
  4. Many thanks for the information. It is a pity that I can't hear the amp and is a little out of my price range. The amp looks as if it has been well cared for and like Petey ... I am tempted! GLWTS
  5. Hi, have you owned the amp from new and how old is it please? Cheers.
  6. MXR M81 Bass Pre Amp Selling my MXR bass preamp pedal. These are selling new for £160 and this one is in excellent condition and hardly used. Comes with original packaging and booklet. Looking for £90 including postage. Here’s some information about this pedal… The MXR Bass Preamp combines a pristine bass preamp with a studio-quality Direct Out in a Phase 90-sized box, providing clear tone without hogging precious pedalboard space. Use it to add a new voice to an old passive bass, sweeten up any amp, or put some special sauce on a particular song. Dial it in just the way you want it and send it straight to the house—pre or post-EQ—with the built-in Direct Out. The Bass Preamp features separate Input and Output level controls and a 3-band EQ section with sweepable midrange—from 250hz to 1khz—for extensive tonal flexibility. It’s all delivered super clean with high headroom thanks to our own Constant Headroom Technology™, and you can use the PRE/POST EQ switch to set whether or not your Direct Out signal is affected by the Bass Preamp’s EQ section. And of course, the Bass Preamp features a GROUND LIFT switch in case you encounter ground loop hum. The Bass Preamp is factory preset to operate in ¼” out buffered bypass and Direct Out active. For players who only want to use the ¼” out, there are two internal switches that disable the Direct Out and ¼” out buffered bypass for true ¼” out bypass mode. There are several demos on YouTube and here is a link to one of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEeaOE36E1o
  7. Open to offers but only for a limited time before the bass goes to London for sale!
  8. Hi, Have added a couple of photos. As you can see it has the micro tilt system and three bolt neck. Hope that this helps. Alan
  9. Hi David, Welcome to Basschat you youngster! Alan
  10. Hi, it is a great bass .... the Fender Certificate of Authenticity refers to the bass as a "72 Jazz Bass Cc" (Closet Classic). But as I've mentioned in my orginal post the specification is really of a 75 Jazz!
  11. Have decided that the bass will go down to London for sale ... so if you you are interested in getting your hands on this this fabulous bass make me an offer very soon! .2018 Fender Jazz Bass 70s Custom Shop. Light relic bass. Bass has never been gigged and only used at home. Recently bought in lockdown from a fellow Basschatter but, having small-ish hands, can't get to grips with the deeper U Shape neck. Comes with certificate, case candy and hard case. Although on the Certificate of Authenticity it is described as a 72 Jazz Bass most of the detailed specification is of a 75 Jazz. It has an Ash body, 7.25" radius neck, 1.5" nut width and nitro lacquer neck finish. I'm happy to deliver within a 30 miles radius of Cambridge or meet up half way if that suits.
  12. Bought a Fender Custom Shop 70s Bass from Latif. He was a gentleman to deal with. Transaction went very smoothly. The bass was exactly as described and Latif took the trouble to provide me with additional photographs when I asked for them. The bass was well packed and arrived very quickly. Honest and trustworthy and would have no hesitationnin dealign with him again.

  14. Is this a passive bass with vol, vol, tone controls?
  15. Many thanks for the comments ..... it certainly is a work of art ... the colouring of the dark cherry facing is pretty lush!
  16. What is the spec for this bass please or where can I find it ? Cheers.
  17. Do you happen to know if the radius of the U Shape neck is 7.25" please. Thanks. Alan
  18. I thought that I'd share a photo of my new Sadowsky!
  19. Has anyone tried one of these new Sire fretless basses yet? The specification on these looks to be pretty stunning and a lot of bass for the money. I am thinking about getting one of these and would appreciate any feedback from anyone who has experience of playing one of these. Cheers. Alan
