1. PJB Bighead for sale. Virtually unused. Can post. Selling as buying PJB practice amp with headphones out and aux in otherwise would be a keeper. Mobile Headphone Amp with D/A converter The PJB BigHead is not big at all. In fact it is barely larger than an iPhone. The "Big" is about the sound. It functions first as an awesome bass headphone amplifier with 2 band EQ ( +/- 18db @ 60 Hz and +/- 18dB @ 5KHz) set for optimization of all kinds of bass instruments. Unlike consumer electronic MP3 players and smart phones that have very small power output of around 20 milli-watt to drive headphones, the BigHead has more than 10 times the power. This contributes to a far more exhilarating listening experience with increased resolution and dynamics. Even if you are just listening to music, the BigHead will be a great improvement to your regular headphones, adding more listening pleasure. A more important function of the BigHead is being a recording tool both in digital and analog. As an Analog Digital Converter, it has the finest BURR BROWN digital components. The USB out is 48KHz 16Bit digital conversion. In other words, recording your bass onto Pro Tools will give you exactly what you wish for and absolutely nothing else. Maybe you need an analog pre amp. The Big Head can do that too. It will provide up to 12dB of gain and better than 96dB signal to noise ratio. Just use the headphone out jack to feed an amp or mixer. It has an internal lithium-ion rechargeable battery that is fed by its USB jack, so any computer or appropriate cell phone charger can charge it in less than 3 hours, but it can play for up to 8 hours. 2. Thanks funky ... that is very helpful feedback. Did the pjb deliver a decent bass sound for fingerstyle bass rather than for slapping.
3. Has anyone actually tried this amp and if so can you offer some feedback ... that would be great.
4. Where are you based? Are you the original owner? Cheers
5. Any chance of a short video clip?
6. The latest post on Facebook seems to be Jan this year - seems pretty dead to me? I saw a message about closing down orders back in 2016. The idea as I understood it was for the owner to build basses and then offer them for sale as and when but I haven't seen any evidence of this at all.
7. Anyone know if Stenback basses are still going?
8. Where are you based? Do you have any sound or video samples? Thanks.
9. Had an offer and other interest but not looking to offer the amp at under the (much) reduced asking price.
10. Hello Joe, thanks for your message. I haven't got the cardboard boxes left for these two cabs so not quite certain how they can be send to you. Have to have a think about that! Alan
11. I have two custom TKS cabs for sale. Neither have a tweeter or horn. Weighing only 10 kg and being only 33 cm deep, the S112 is the most portable cabinet in the model range. Many owners have two of them, using only one on small gigs and both on larger gigs and other situations that require more volume. Can be used in vertical configuration - that way the S112 takes up only 36x33 cm on a stage, and moves the handle out of the way for small amplifiers with low feet. Specifications: Impedance: 8 Ω Power handling (high average power test signal): 250 W RMS Recommended amplifier power: 150-300 W RMS @ 8 Ω Sensitivity[average]: 99 dB SPL @ 1W/1m Sensitivity[100Hz]: 98 dB SPL @ 1W/1m Sensitivity[max]: 103 dB SPL @ 1,5 kHz, 1W/1m Frequency response (-10db): 46 Hz - 4,8 kHz Displacement: 258 cm³ Measurements (WxHxD): 52x38x33 cm Weight: 10 kg Based in south Cambridge area.
12. Price drop to £400.00. For sale includes padded gigbag. The ATS LBA-5 MK III lightweight head is a bass guitar amplifier developed with a completely different goal compared to its big brothers BP500 and BP1000: high sound performances in compact space and little weight (just 1.9 Kg). The implementation of a standard semi-parametric mid-band, the asymmetric trebles (working on different frequencies) and the special “Contour” controls complete an extremely efficient and versatile tone controls section. Together they provide countless and very interesting combinations of sound frequency response: it is an exclusive innovation introduced by ATS. The class D solid state final stage of the LBA-5 MK III thanks to the oversized power supply, delivers 600 W of RMS power with extremely fast dynamic response. The LBA-5 MKIII represents the state of the art of lightweight bass amplifiers delivering a warm sound, high versatile tone controls, fast response and high power in a compact case. Description of the I/O controls: INPUT 1: All equalization controls placed on the front panel are active on this channel INPUT 2: There are no equalization controls on this second channel and the response is completely flat, such as in the best Hi-End amp. On this second channel it is possible to amplify a second instrument, or to enter with a different sound source, such as a CD player, PC, Mixer etc. D.I. Output: Adjustable from +10db to -10db on 600ohm impedance. Tuner Output: Output for the tuner, usable also to send the signal to another second amp. Send Output: “Post” audio output, for post processing and audio effects. Return Input: Input of the audio signal, coming from external devices or audio effects In Cambridge area.
