  1. Bought a Laney head from David. Simple and straightforward transaction.......quick to reply to my messages and a lovely bloke. Deal with confidence. Paul
  2. Yeah I don't think mine was flat just sounded nice/ok to me . I'll try your settings....it's good to fiddle around
  3. I've not done that approach but it's a good idea. I struggled for a while with the EQ on my terror head (second edition) but over the years have settled on this eq. Sometimes I vary the treble a bit depending how old my strings are. I'm always playing a P bass with a pick and round wound strings so this won't suit everyone. - Bass at 25% ( or 9 using the hands of a clock approach) - Mids at 75% (3 on a clock) - Treble about 40/50% Paul
  4. Just bought one of these. Fantastic sounds for the price and editing amps, cabs and drives on the phone is a piece of cake (not as simple editing sounds on the device screen due to size but not awful).
  5. Yes in the afternoon I am. Please send me a DM to arrange
  6. I'm lucky to have one of these..... absolutely brilliant cab....can't see me ever changing it.....and this is a really generous price.
  7. I liked the remix/master of Pearl Jams Ten....but I know a few that don't as well
  8. For sale Ashdown ABM 600 head. I think everyone knows that these things can do but just in case I will add in a link to the spec as per the Ashdown web site. ABM 600 Spec Barely a mark on it. I haven't got a suitable box at the moment so it's collection only. Willing to drive 30 mins for meet up if required. Recently serviced at Ashdown HQ by Dave Green so you're good to go.
  9. Beautiful looking bass. Dare I ask the weight. Probably lovely and light?
  10. Ashdown OriginAl head for sale. 500 watts of power. Loud, light as a feather, no audible fan noise that I can detect. Perfect for small and medium sized gigs. Price includes kettle lead and UK postage.....I'm sure I can find a box for this somewhere. There is still warranty left on this until the end of the year too. Can share evidence of that with purchaser. No Trades thanks.
  11. **Pending** Great condition, not a scratch on it. Light powerful and punchy. Easy one handed lift from car to stage due to its light weight and well placed, recessed handle. Collection from South Manchester as no box. Happy to drive within reason to handover to serious buyer. Trial at my house more than welcome.
  12. Yeah no problem we have done a meet up I think for Brian before?
  13. **Pending** For sale my Barefaced Super 12. I think this is an early ish version of the Super Twin. Not sure on year of manufacture as I bought it used. 4ohms - really incredibly loud as most folk on here will know Light and easy to move around for anyone.....even for me. I've owned it since 2019.....all handles and wheels work fine. The rubber sleeve on the top handle is a bit worn at their edges but nothing horrible. Everything works perfectly and it comes with a Roqsolid cover. Band sticker easily peels off the Barefaced logo. Orange head in the pictures not included. **TRADES** Only Trade option would be Barefaced 210 with switchable ohms. Ready for many more years of Rock, Jazz, Funk. Whatever you prefer. Collection from South Manchester. Happy to drive short distance for meet up with serious buyer.
  14. Orange Terror Bass I think does that pretty well, and for a reasonable price
  15. Still up for grabs. Can't find a shipping box at the moment but happy to drive a bit to meet buyer.
  16. Cheers @Lozz196 much appreciated
  17. Thanks much appreciated. All comments welcome
  18. Hi just after some thoughts from folks out there who may have owned both a barefaced and a markbass 4/10 at some point. I'm on a budget, looking to buy used and wondering if if the more costly, but rarer Barefaced is worth being patient for, and waiting/saving longer for compared to the markbass equivalent. The BF 4/10s don't seem to come up very often used...... which might be an obvious indication how brilliant they are. The Markbass 4/10s do seem to come up fairly frequently on here, and Facebook marketplace, within 30 or 40 miles so from where I live and seem more 'get able'. So yeah in summary......if you've got experience of both cabs and were due to buy one of them again would you:- 1) be patient, save up and keep an eye out for a barefaced 2) go for a markbass given they are likely to be a bit easier on the wallet and my fairly basic ears won't notice much difference 🙂 I know ideally I'd play through both but I think that's unlikely to happen anytime soon and it can be slightly awkward blasting away through a 410 in someone's house anyway. Portability is not a major issue as the cab will sit in our rehearsal space 99% of the time. PS - there are loads of reasonably priced Ashdown ABMs out there as well. That's prob a third option. Hope this is a relatable question. Thanks.
  19. I have a MIJ squier jazz which is not labelled as Silver Series, but it's definitely MIJ. Its an E serial number and I seem to remember seeing Silver Series instruments on here with an E serial number too. So what you are being told seems feasible to me.
  20. Yes still up for grabs
  21. I think all you'd have to play around and tweak the input and output levels. There's no pad.
