1. Hi All - I'm reluctantly putting my beautiful Maruszczyk Jake up for sale. There's loads on the forum about how great these basses are & this one's no exception. It's a one off medium (32") scale build with a chambered body & weighs only 3kg (6.6lb) - probably the lightest Precision ever! The spec is: - Jake 4p - Chambered, 32” medium scale Body Wood - Alder with lightly flamed maple top and back Neck - Maple with Rosewood fingerboard, 10” radius, 2.64/1.20mm fretwire (medium jumbo), 40mm nut width. White 3mm dots in front, matte finish, Mr. Tee (Telecaster style) headstock, 'slim C' profile (21mm at first fret, 24mm at twelfth feet) Pickups - Haussel P with passive volume & tone Hardware - Hipshot Vintage Bridge & Ultralite Tuners (supplied by me) Colour - Redburst (red with black border) gloss Here's the sofa shot as supplied by Adrian Maruszczyk: - No problem doing more photos if you want some I also found a video of Adrian playing it to demonstrate the Haussel pickup. It's strung with Status 100s in the video (supplied by me), but I have since restrung it with Thomastik flats, which makes it sound even better! I'll throw in an unused set of Status 40-100 flats into the deal too. It's an absolute peach of a bass & has had home use only - virtually as new condition & still has the plastic on the scratchplate! I'm only selling it as I'm more happy with a shorter scale bass these days. The list price on this was 1100 euro (currently £924 according to Google), so I'm looking for £550 posted with the original gig bag, or a trade for a short scale bass with cash either way for the right instrument. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne. Cheers, B.
2.
Is this a short scale bass ?
Think these are around 32" scale
3. Found the pickup & electrics from another Concord & some neck bolts too so I'll throw them in the deal. £150 anyone?
4. Replied to PMs - I'm after selling it all rather than splitting it & am open to offers for a cash / collection deal...
5. This bass started life as a Westone Concord I bass. I loved the neck, but didn't really get on with the Westone shape so had the Bass Doc build a really light tulipwood body loosely based on a Musicman Sterling. It's a lovely bass, but I'm only really playing basses with rosewood boards & flatwounds on these days - this one is strung with new D'Addarios, plays well & really growls with rounds on! I'm also throwing in a fretless neck that fits the white body, a lot of original Westone parts I have lying around & some nylon strings I used on the fretless neck. There's nearly everything to build another bass! Think it's a great deal for someone at this price - give me a shout if you need any more info... I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne & looking for £150 - collection deal only. Cheers, B. 7.
Lovely bass. Any idea of weight?
Really light! Don't have any digital scales, but I reckon it's less than 8lb with the high-mass Gotoh bridge
8. Ibanez RB600 medium scale bass for sale. Dates from early '80s. A previous owner made a few mods - new backplate, lighter machines & some rather practical 'V' strap buttons. Needed a bit of work when it arrived to me, but I've set it up nicely & put a Gotoh 201 bridge on. Fantastic pickup - loud & growly! Going to miss this one... £130 collected from Newcastle B. 9. Fantastic album - loved Marco's playing. Anyone know if he did anything else?
10. No problem at all. I sold it to Paul & it's a bargain at this price! Some of the mods were done by a luthier when I had it - new scratchplate, bridge & the painted headstock. It sounds huge & have to say it was a reluctant sale... Cheers, B.
11. Sold TPJ a Peavey bass & it was one of the easiest face-to-face transactions I've ever done. Really nice guy & would definitely trade again. Enjoy the bass! Cheers, B.
12. Cheers Paul! I was hoping to do this one collection only actually, as I'm running low on materials after packing that Aerodyne for you... B.
13. Pics to follow - can't upload them from my phone at the mo...
14. Hi - putting my Peavey Fury up for sale that I bought on here a while ago. If you don't know the Fury it's basically a Precision with a really comfy Jazz-width neck & a nice hot pickup. It's in pretty good condition - could do with a set up & there's a hairline crack near the jack, which was there when I bought it. Really nice bass - selling it as I only really play short scale basses these days. Looking for £160 cash & collected from Newcastle. Would consider a trade with cash either way for a short scale bass. Cheers! 16. Sold Paul my Aerodyne Jazz. This was the second deal we have done & it was a breeze - great comms, prompt payment & a really nice guy to do business with. Cheers!
17. Bought an old Peavey bass from simwells. Good communication & great packing job. Cheers! B.
18. Hi - reluctantly selling my beautiful medium (32") scale white Aerodyne Jazz Bass. Imported it myself from Ishibashi a while ago & it's a Crafted In Japan non-export model, so a bit rare over here. It's basically everything you'd expect from a Japanese Fender, but slightly downsized. Like other Aerodynes, it has a basswood body with a curved / bound top, maple / rosewood neck & came as standard with a pair of Dimarzio pickups, which look a lot like Ultra Jazzes. Currently strung with D'Addario nickel rounds. I think this one was an ex-demo model, as it arrived with a Fender gigbag & the manual (in Japanese!). It hasn't seen much wear & the only significant ding is on the bottom of the bass (see pictures), which was there when I bought it. Pics: - I'm looking for £450 collected from Newcastle upon Tyne. Cheers, B.
19. Sold Paul my old Westone & it was a really stress-free, smooth transaction. Great communication & fast payment - cheers!
