1.
If I lived anywhere near Newcastle upon Tyne, you'd have sold this..... Is there no postal option?
Hi Tonteee - was hoping for a cash / collection deal ideally as don't have much packing material to hand for this. Will see if I can sort something out. Alternatively, PM me your location - know a few people who get around... Cheers, B.
2.
Free bump for a great bass. £200 is an absolute steal - one of the nicest Medium scale basses out there. Someone grab it - you can't go wrong.
Thanks Eric! Totally agree - build quality is up there with top-end SBs I've seen & it has a lovely burp played near the bridge. Only found one other advertised & it's a lot more than this - if I had more space in the house I'd keep it... Cheers, B.

Bought a lovely Mustang Bass from Will - our fourth transaction! As ever, it was an easy deal with great comms & an amazing packing job. Thanks again Will! Cheers, B.
4. Bump - surprised this is still here, so open to offers...
5. Bump! Will consider trading this for a short scale bass with cash either way for the right instrument...
6. No problem Paul - good luck with your clear out!
7. Just restrung this with some medium scale Thomastik flats I forgot I had & it sounds great! I'll do it with the Thomastiks on & a new set of the Status 40-100 flats like it had on in the video (another find today!) for £600 posted. Cheers, B.
8. Hi Paul - don't have any scales in the house at the mo. The previous owner told me it was around 3.8kg (or 8.5lbs to oldies like me) when he weighed it, which feels about right. Cheers, B.
9.
Does anyone in London have a medium scale Maruszczyk I could try out? I'm thinking of buying the one benebass is selling but I've never played a medium scale before.
Hi Sumbabba - don't want to derail this thread, but a good way to see if medium scale is for you is to detune a 34" bass by a semitone then put a guitar capo on the first fret. Notes are just that bit easier to reach down the bottom end!
10.
Nice bass for not a lot of money. Have a bump!
Cheers!
11. Hi - bought this a while ago & it's a beautiful bass. Apparently they were only made for a few years in the early '80s & came from the Matsumoko factory in Japan. It was the top of the CSB range at the time & has a beautiful ash body with a carved top in a lovely red / yellow sunburst. Loads of stuff online about these - full details are at http://www.matsumoku...ss/csb/csb.html I bought it from the original owner & it's in great shape to say it's around 35 years old - tried to capture the dinks in the pics. Comes with the hard case that I think it originally came with. Since I had it I've given it a clean up & strung it up with a set of Status flats - plays really nicely. Looking for £200 collected from Newcastle upon Tyne - possibly consider a trade for a short scale bass (try me!). This isn't me or my bass, but a good demo of the same model in a different finish: - Cheers, B.
12. Hi all - I'm reluctantly selling a rather tasty medium scale Jake at the mo... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/289364-maruszczyk-medium-scale-jake-4-lightest-precision-ever/page__pid__3105794 Cheers, B.
13. Potential buyer wasn't able to proceed so it's back up for sale!
14.
assume its not gone yet?
Not yet - someone asked if I could put it on hold for a couple of days, so I'll update the thread when things move on. Cheers, Benedict
15.
Don't suppose the buyer's in London? Never tried a medium scale bass, wouldn't mind having a go on it with maybe a view to ordering my own. Love that headstock shape!
It's lovely, isn't it!?! Don't have full buyer details yet, but Wunjo's in Denmark Street & the Gallery had some medium scales in from other brands last time I looked online. There's also a big thread on here with some Maruszczyk mediums mentioned - might be worth asking there too...
16. This used to be mine & it's fantastic! Paul's a great guy to deal with too - good luck with the sale...
17.
Lovely looking and sounding bass! Is the body smaller than a Fender P?
Cheers! It's pretty much a full size body, but as it's chambered it doesn't feel big. Had a bit of interest in this & it's currently on hold for someone. Will update with news when I have it. Cheers, B.
18.
Spooky
Indeed...
19. Hi Steve - I've had loads of aches & pains with my left shoulder over the years, but I found a shorter scale along with sitting down makes a massive difference. I know it sounds like a shameless plug & a it's a bit over your budget, but I've just put my 3kg 32" Maruszcyk bass up for sale - http://basschat.co.uk/topic/289364-maruszczyk-medium-scale-jake-4-lightest-precision-ever/ Hope you're on the mend soon... Cheers, B.
20. Hi All - I'm reluctantly putting my beautiful Maruszczyk Jake up for sale. There's loads on the forum about how great these basses are & this one's no exception. It's a one off medium (32") scale build with a chambered body & weighs only 3kg (6.6lb) - probably the lightest Precision ever! The spec is: - Jake 4p - Chambered, 32” medium scale Body Wood - Alder with lightly flamed maple top and back Neck - Maple with Rosewood fingerboard, 10” radius, 2.64/1.20mm fretwire (medium jumbo), 40mm nut width. White 3mm dots in front, matte finish, Mr. Tee (Telecaster style) headstock, 'slim C' profile (21mm at first fret, 24mm at twelfth feet) Pickups - Haussel P with passive volume & tone Hardware - Hipshot Vintage Bridge & Ultralite Tuners (supplied by me) Colour - Redburst (red with black border) gloss Here's the sofa shot as supplied by Adrian Maruszczyk: - No problem doing more photos if you want some I also found a video of Adrian playing it to demonstrate the Haussel pickup. It's strung with Status 100s in the video (supplied by me), but I have since restrung it with Thomastik flats, which makes it sound even better! I'll throw in an unused set of Status 40-100 flats into the deal too. It's an absolute peach of a bass & has had home use only - virtually as new condition & still has the plastic on the scratchplate! I'm only selling it as I'm more happy with a shorter scale bass these days. The list price on this was 1100 euro (currently £924 according to Google), so I'm looking for £550 posted with the original gig bag, or a trade for a short scale bass with cash either way for the right instrument. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne. Cheers, B.
21.
Is this a short scale bass ?
Think these are around 32" scale
22. Sold on the North East Bass Bin Facebook page! Cheers B.
23. Found the pickup & electrics from another Concord & some neck bolts too so I'll throw them in the deal. £150 anyone?
