Price drop - see below! Hi All - I'm reluctantly putting my beautiful Maruszczyk Jake back up for sale. There's loads on the forum about how great these basses are & this one's no exception. It's a one off medium (32") scale build with a chambered body, a Jazz-style neck & weighs approx. 3kg (6.6lb) - the lightest Precision I've ever seen! The spec is: - Jake 4p - Chambered, 32" medium scale Body Wood - Alder with lightly flamed maple top and back Neck - Maple with Maple fingerboard, 7.5" radius, 2.64/1.20mm fretwire (medium jumbo), 38mm nut width. White 3mm dots in front, matte finish, Mr. Tee (Telecaster style) headstock, 'C' profile (22mm at first fret, 25mm at twelfth feet) Pickups - Haussel P with passive volume & tone Hardware - Hipshot Ultralite Tuners Colour - Redburst (red with black border) gloss (It was originally built with a different neck with a rosewood board, but I commissioned Adrian to build this maple one that was fitted by Maruszczyk back in Poland - spare neck is sold now). I've also fitted a Gotoh 201 bridge instead of the Hipshot Vintage bridge it was built with & I much prefer the current bridge (you can have the Hipshot bridge if you like, but I wasn't a fan). Home use only, so really good condition - only a few light wear marks. Pics: - Ideally I'm looking for a cash / collection deal with the Maruszczyk gig bag for £500 (I'd do it for £450 collected without the gig bag for a quick sale - it fits standard Fender cases in my experience). If you're interested in a postal deal, I'd give me a shout & I'm sure we could work something out... Cheers, B. P.S. Hi - reluctantly selling my Japanese Fender Medium Scale Jazz (JB62M). I imported this myself from Ishibashi in Japan & was a now discontinued non-export model, so a bit of a rare bass over here. Basically, it is a '62-style Jazz Bass, but slightly scaled down in proportion to the smaller scale length, which is a bit like playing one fret up. Since discovering the 32" scale I've pretty much given up on full scale now, as it's so much more comfier & lighter (this was weighed by Ishibashi as a very comfortable 3.9Kg, or 8.6lb). Condition is really good - I was told it is from 2012 & only has a bit of light play wear, which was there when I bought it. It plays really nicely & can't fault it - only selling it as I'm not playing as much as I'd like since the kids came along & it deserves to be played. I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne & would like £500 collected for it. Postage could be an option - send me a PM & I'll see what I can do... Cheers, B. The standard neck profile is a slim 'modern C' (Adrian's words) - 21mm at 1st fret & 24mm at 12th. Nut is 40mm as standard (a bit wider than a Jazz, but less than a Precision). Radius is 14" as standard. All this is configurable, but not miles off an Ibanez if you bring the nut in to 38mm. You'll only get something chunky if you ask for it!

The medium scale Jake I'm selling is chambered & sounds great. The only difference I've noticed is it's a lot more toppy than solid basses I have even with flats, but that's not a bad thing at all...
If I lived anywhere near Newcastle upon Tyne, you'd have sold this..... Is there no postal option?
Hi Tonteee - was hoping for a cash / collection deal ideally as don't have much packing material to hand for this. Will see if I can sort something out. Alternatively, PM me your location - know a few people who get around... Cheers, B.
Free bump for a great bass. £200 is an absolute steal - one of the nicest Medium scale basses out there. Someone grab it - you can't go wrong.
Thanks Eric! Totally agree - build quality is up there with top-end SBs I've seen & it has a lovely burp played near the bridge. Only found one other advertised & it's a lot more than this - if I had more space in the house I'd keep it... Cheers, B.
