3. Me too please, good idea btw
4. I was considering both options you mentioned but in the end went for the Vox Amplug: http://www.voxamps.com/amplug/
5. I think ours has a Peavey TNT 150 which will cost you an extra tenner to use so I always take my own amp
6.
am I being diddled by my local shop?!
Think you're getting shafted! You do get the occasional one without a hat that some pikey has nicked but they should all have them, some are a lot more 'creative' than others
7.
Thank god you didn't display a photo of you wearing one on your 'other head'!
I hope she doesn't read this or it might give her ideas
8. Fair is fair! I have one of Ped's old cases but seeing as I take her out at least twice a week to practice/gigs I thought she deserved an early xmas present! Can you buy them online? I bought my bass on here for a great price so I can't grumble about not having a case
9. My girlfriend had this novel idea to use the hats that you get on the innocent smoothies (every smoothie bought donates 25p to the Age UK charity) to keep my tuning pegs warm now the winter is setting in. Not very macho but I found it amusing and thought I'd share
10. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it interest free too? A lot of music shops are doing this now, I think its a government backed scheme to encourage more people to play music. More info: http://www.takeitaway.org.uk/
11. That's bizarre, we have a strange problem at our local practice rooms where the vocal mic from one of the other practice rooms comes through our guitarists amp. Annoying but not as annoying as your problem! Good luck getting it sorted
12. Ampeg SVT 410HLF - sounds incredible! So much volume on tap with plenty of low end too if that's your thing
13. I just purchased a Vox Bass Amplug at the weekend. Plug it straight in, choose wether you'd like normal or distortion (flick the switch), adjust your volume, tone and gain settings on it, plug your cans in then you're off! Great piece of kit! Come with 2 AAA batteries and you can get some great sounds out of it. The only bad point is that too much voulme and gain can create hiss (does on my MusicMan [active]). There is also and AUX in so you can jam along to your iPod/CD player etc but I have't trued this yet. Currently using Some Sennheiser HD 212 PRO cans and for the money, I can't fault them although I'd like to try a set of these: http://www.marshallheadphones.com/product/major
14. I use mine through an Ampeg SVT-410 HLF and it sounds fantastic. Does look a little lost sat on the top and has the tendency to dance around on top of the cab. Need to get a non slip mat

16. Where abouts are you playing on the 23rd November? I could pop down with my Orange Bass terror (depending on time/location etc) and just hang around until you guys finish the gig? I live and Work in Oxford so just holla if you get stuck

19. I've joined the club too! so happy with it so far. Done three gigs with it last week and it was flawless. Running mine through an Ampeg 410 HLF cab and its very loud! The DI is far too hot as people have mentioned. I've been having to use a DI box at gigs to avoid using it.
The 40db attenuator is a must at only a fiver.
Can you let me know where I might be able to get one of these please matey? Might save all my DI woes and will keep the sound guys happy at gigs!
20. For sale: Ampeg SVT-450H This is the 450w SVT head, based on the all valve design of the SVT-CL. More info here: http://www.ampeg.com/products/classic/svt450h/index.html This is the USA made version rather than the Vietnamese model. Pics: As you can see from the pics, there is some cosmetic damage but nothing that effects the way the amp works. The tolex has had a few rips in it which the previous owner has glued back down. There has also been a repair to one of the joins (also done by the previous owner) which you can see in the pics. As stated, these no way affect the awesome tone this amp chucks out! Price: £525 new, so £350 to you lovely folk Collection from Oxford only or I can arrange to meet you within a reasonable distance
