  1. I’m now the happy owner of an EHB1000 and loving it.
  2. Let me know if you do decide to sell yours I might be interested
  3. I was interested in the EHB1000 but have to say that I’m put off by the number of issues that people have with the inlays and pick ups. Don’t really want to spend this sort of money on a bass only to have to spend a lot more to make it useable.
  4. Had one of these a few years ago. Great bass for the money. A real bargain if you’re a new player liking to upgrade from your first bass. 👍

  6. I have advertised that I want to buy awashburn status bass in the items wanted forum. A member called -gearthm1 contacted me to say they had one for sale from Spain. He also sent what he claimed were recent photos of the bass. When I looked into this I found they were photos taken from another web site about 3 years old. I also noticed that he joined the forum the same day that I placed the add. I asked him to send a new photo ofthebasswith today’s date written on a price of paper which he refused to do. Other people seeking to buy a bass should watch out for this person. Icanprovide the site moderators with his e mail if required

  12. Having been to bass day for the last 4 years I think it's a real shame that the venue chaged this year. Whilst the performers were good I simply couldn't stand up for 8 hours between the start of the day and the end so had to leave before Marcus Miller. The atmospherem also didn't feel the same to me. If it's at the same venue next year I'll give it a miss and go to the London show instead which is a shame as this one is in the north West.
  13. if Blademan chnages his mind I'll be in your area at the end of June and would love it. Pete from Cumbria
  14. PM'd yes please from Pete in South lakes
  15. I've taken the combo appart now and the amp and speaker are in 2 separate self contained sections of the cabinet. The Amp has come out alltogether making the case lighter. When I took the speaker out by removing then grill I founf it was a 150 watt rated 8 ohn ashdown blue line speaker so it should be OK. the wires from the speaker exit through a sealed hole to where the amplifier was. I've ordered a Neutrik jack socket which I think can be mounted on the outside of the case where the amp used to be. I'll post some photos later once I've set this up and let people know how I've got on. Pete
  16. Thanks This is useful, I think I will try it as the only other option I can see is giving the Ashdown away or throwing it in a skip. This way I might have a reasonable 15" bass cab to use. The speaker is definitly wired into the amp internally but I'm not sure if it's definitly 8 Ohm. I'll have a look inside tomorrow. Cheers Pete
  17. Hi I have an Ashdown Five Fifteen that I've been using for about 3 years and recetly all the fuses on the circuit board blew. When I replaced them they blew again. I have spoken to a local engineer who tells me that it's probably a transformer that's gone and needs replacing and he estimates a total bill of about £50 for the repair. Not a bad price but!....... I have been considering changing this for a few months now and I plan to buy a Roland CB100 which can drive an external cab as wel as the internal speaker. As the Ashdown would only be worth aboth £80 as a sale item on basschat I wondered if it would be possible to convert the old combo into a cab and run it from my new combo when I get it? Would this give me a better sound? The Roland needs an external cab with a minimum of 100W capacity at 8 Ohms. The Ashdown is sold as a 100 watt amp and required and 8 ohm extension cab but on the Ashdown website its only shown as 100w at 4 ohms. Any thoughts? Thanks Pete
  18. Hi I'm quite interested but I wondered how long have you had this and have you ever had any problems with it. Also would you be open to offers as a few places are ofering this at £399 new Also just noticed that one sold here for £200 yesterday Thanks Pete
