    Hi , i am working on my lastest project (charvel p bass) , the back of neck had a few deep dings in it , so after some super glue and a bit of sanding i got it sorted . the only problem is that i rubbed a too hard in one place and took off some lacquer. so i need some amber lacquer to match it up . the only problem is i cant find it in ireland and cant get posted to ireland . is there anything else i can use or any diy lacquer / varnish etc . i have some clear lacquer but it doesnt match up ....

    i need help , i have a tokai jazz sound without a pickguard . i think it looks a bit bare so i got a pickguard but i am not to sure which looks better , so maybe fellow basschatters can help me

    i am working on a jazz project , i have it all done expect i am getting a hum when the tone pot is turned to treble none when turned to bass . it only stops when i touch the strings etc. i have re checked everything but i cant find the problem . its a tokai jazz sound .....

    i think i messed up my Bacchus 02 standard 4 with barts preamp & pickups , i adjusted the internal trim pot and since then when the volume is on all the time when the boost pot is on full , the pickup blend switch works like a volume pot when the boost pot is off , its looks like the bridge pickup is only working when the boost is on . i dont see any loose or broken wires and i put the trim pot to orginal position but its still the same . any ideas would be great

    parcel2go.com.ie , i used them a few times to sent basses to uk , around 30 euro .by far the cheapest. irish customs are also getting to be pain in the ass got charged a stupid amount of tax on bass from japan last week.

    I am new to Precision basses , i have a tokai hardpuncher (mij) with a 7.25 neck radius. my set up is ; Relief .35 mm String Heights @ 15 th fret E 2.6 mm to G 2.1 mm Pickup heights E 3.2 to G 2.4 i am happy enough with my setup but i am always open to new ideas . I want to compare setups , so please let me know yours

    check the 3rd lug on the volume pot is grounded good . i had the same problem .

    thanks johnnylager , found the problem i didnt ground the 3rd lug on the volume pot right . the new alpha pots on this precision made sound so much better . i was thinking maybe its just bad wiring in the first place or do more expensive pots make a real difference . if so i will be replacing pots on all my basses .

    hi ,i am wiring a project precision bass , i have got new pots (250k audio for volume & 250k linear for tone). i used the seymour duncan wiring diagram for standard precision bass . the problem is when the volume pot is in off position i am still getting some volume ,its not as much as in the on position but its enough to be a problem . other than that i have no buzz etc anty help would be great cheers
