  1. Cabinet sold via eBay. Head still available for £400.
  2. I've got a few Waves plugins already and they are pretty good. Looks like there's a demo I can download and try tomorrow.
  3. Thanks for this - I will give this one a go tomorrow!
  4. Looking for something to create backing tracks for myself .. jazz standards chords and melodies. I want something a little better than Steinberg's Halion's Offering but I don't want to pay a fortune for one, ideally less than £50 but would stretch to £75. Anyone tried the Garriton's Abbey Road CFX Lite or XLN's Addictive Keys?
  5. Hi Guys, I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me. I'm new to midi keyboards / controllers and synth VSTs having only played a little with Steinberg's Model-E VST briefly in the past. Today I got hold of a Nektar LX49+ midi keyboard / VST and I'm trailing a few mini moog synth VSTs including The Legend from Synapse. It sounds great but one problem I'm having is re-assigning the faders and knobs on the keyboard to the controls within the VST. I am trying to Forget MIDI and Learn MIDI options but the only controller from the keyboard I can map to any VST control is the modulation wheel - none of the other controls work. The controls all function perfectly with the default settings so it appears the keyboard is communicating properly with the VST I just can't remap them. Is this feature disabled in the Demo version maybe or any other tips on how to resolve? I'm using Cubase 11 Elements. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. Sounds like a luther to avoid IMO.
  7. FedEx delivered a parcel to me today, massive hole in the box half way up. Driver dropped it on the door step and was back in his van by the time I got to the door. Fortunately it doesn't seem the contents were harmed in any way. But if I was to avoid every courier who's let me down over the past 2 years I wouldn't be buying anything online any more.
  8. You have outstanding knowledge of weird and wonderful basses Mr Travis
  9. I have a modest collection of 4 basses. 2x Sandbergs, a P and a PJ, a fretless Ibanez SR and a custom Jazz. As a stay at home and play guy currently I could quite happily go to 2 basses, the Jazz and the fretless. I like the P's and I do use them from time to time but I gravitate to the fretless and jazz much more because I enjoy playing them the most. If I was to get back into a band, assuming it wasn't some Jazz thing, the PJ would become my primary with the P as a backup bass which was primary reason for purchasing them. If you could find the 1 bass, that would be amazing. Don't get sucked into Basschat GAS.
  10. Hi, yes I'll consider splitting the rig - I've added options in the main thread.
  11. Ashdown CTM-30 Little Stubby all valve bass amp and speaker cable - £400 for the head (cab now sold). Amp Specs CTM-30 Little Stubby – Ashdown Engineering (ashdownmusic.com) In very good condition, collection preferred due to weight and the fact it's full of valves but, couriers can be arranged at buyer's expense.
  12. Now £165 including Royal Mail Special Delivery to UK Mainland Address Since I'm very unlikely to be joining a band in the near future I've decided to focus on recording and home studio gear. Since all my basses are active I've decided I don't a full on Pre-Amp / DI and I'm going to simplify my home set up with a simple Radial DI box rather than this or the SansAmp I had prior. I bought this new a few months ago from Andertons and it's not left my desk so it's in mint condition, box and manual included.
  13. Did the switch replacement fix the issues @AndyTravis
  14. Never seen RHCP live, but when I ever I see a live performance on YT they sound awful. Frusciante, as much as I love him as a guitarist, went through a phase of deliberately flipping gigs up.. I can imagine many have walked away disappointed from a fair few of their shows.
  15. Errrm, it's a sexy bass and all but this is taking it a bit far
  16. Quickest bass sale ever?
  17. That Steak thing looks interesting... I've not seen one of those before
  18. That is incredible. If I had the need and budget I wouldn't hesitate. Ultimate rig for sure.
