1. I love the shape of Rics, my heroes played them, Lee, Squire, Kilminster, Mc Cartney, but when I finally got to try a lefty, I didn't like it. I would still own one though, because I would persevere and go back to my other basses when I got pissed off. I saw a left handed burgundy Ric in a local shop (Birkenhead) called Feedback Music, when I was 14 (1980), I asked my Dad if I could have it, he said yes, how much is it?, I told him, he told me to .... off. My Dad was like that.
I would love to be 20 years older, I would have moved to London in 1970, married Gabriella Drake and 39 years later, bragged about knowing Nick Drake. I once met Kurt Cobain, does that count?
3.
We'd love to! But as yet we havent 'cracked' that place...we dont know any bands or promoters there...which is a shame. If you know of anyone please let me know! Cheers
We haven't played anywhere yet, as we need to find a singer. We had this amazing girl who sang with us for a while but she had her own manager, so he would have wanted to be involved and when I heared that his wife was charging this girl for singing lessons, I decided to give it a very wide berth. There are loads of punk nights happening in Liverpool, which can only be a good thing, so I'll get you some info.
4. You should have bought OBBMs Berg 6x10. I use a Techsoundsystems 6x10 and for rehearsing, I use a Glockenklang Double 2x12, both really cut through a Marshall TSL 100 and a punky drummer. My music is not as full on as yours but I still need to feel the bass as well as hear low, mid and top. If you were nearer you could try them out.
5. Hi Gareth, any plans to play near Liverpool?
6. Just listened to you and your guitarist, Dave, is well loud. Good music though, I like it! Your singer reminds me of f***ed Up. I thought I was going to end up seeing his bare arse at one point.
7. Where's Jason King?
8. It's not MDF, it's contiboard.
9. Yes, yes, yes, where's Peter?
10. Good call, Alan makes great basses. Love the specs. Steve.

13. Well done, I love bargain moments like these, they seldom appear, so enjoy the bass.
14. That's shockingly bad, now give me your Tbird and all will be squared.
15. Well in turnip, you've got a real knack for this kind of thing. Excellent bass BTW.
16. Apologies, from an ill-informed bigot.
17. I think I will have to shoulder the blame for the choppy nature of this thread.
18. Good morning Bilbo, sorry, you can put the Fun Filter on this thread now.
19. Don't worry, you won't be lambasted for it.
20. I agree, though looking again, the neck doesn't seem straight, it's at the wrong angle, see?
21. Your quite right, have you noticed that tight neck pocket, very tidy, isnt it? No chance of sweat leeking into it, doesn't it?
22. I'll put the kettle on for some strong tea and get the choccy digestives out for the victims of shock.
23. I think you will find that a Mr I. Steadford had a hand in this too.
