  1. Was listening to some Barrington levy earlier and came across this which I haven’t heard for a while And from around 1981
  2. Another really great video here that’s worth watching, really like the groove at 50.40 , wonderful playing and sound
  3. Ah yeah 😁, now I’m understanding
  4. Just a suggestion, wouldn’t a squier be better as I think it may be easier to sell the neck on if your changing it to a jazz one, and also upgrading anything else with fender parts should fit
  5. I had to look up captcha, it’s just a picture showing different colours
  6. Not sure about that one Rob, there’s a LPB blue and 2 others in this pic, excuse the geetars 😁
  7. I think we looked into this once and there was quite a few different shades of lake placid blue, hasn’t the player ll got a Aquatone Blue
  8. Wonderful present Steve, they are great jazzes, I think jr will be very pleased
  9. Just reviving this one to say I can recommend this from Gibson, it does a nice job of cleaning and buffs up really shiny , not sticky at all, I’d say it’s better than the fender one I’ve been using and apparently it’s ok for all finishes,
  10. This got me looking at his new album , so I listened to The Essential Anthology again and being a big Matumbi follower from when they first started I also looked at what Dennis Bovell had produced , I recognised that first track but from a remix, I think this is the original from when he was in Matumbi but doing other things at the same time, as he went under a few different names like 4th Street Orchestra, African Stone, Dennis Matumbi, the one I’d like to hear is his dub version of Joshua Moses Africa, here’s a few of his others and here’s another which is probably better known as A Little Way Different, probably one of my favourite Basslines and dubwise ,around 77 the B side of blood ah go run
  11. Found a picture on talkbass and apparently it’s marble wood fingerboard on an Alder body with a passive 10 position Tonestyler
  12. I know what you’re saying, but I don’t think they look that bad , I quite like the moollon precision’s but really can’t do that headstock
  13. I couldn’t find exactly what wood was used on the fretboard, it’s on their custom gallery, I think there’s something about it on facebook but I don’t have it
  14. Out of curiosity I enquired about these, they certainly make some lovely basses, especially the precisions , unfortunately their P basses only come with a 44.45mm vintage nut , which is a little wider than I prefer, and they are $4400.00 , here’s a few I like
  15. Joshua Moses Africa is our land, great riddim and version
  16. I don’t do FB, but it looks like the same clip on YouTube
  17. Nice one thanks, I’ll look into that
  18. Those tracks sound amazing, the third one reminds me of Joshua Moses Home, I’ll definitely be looking into that cd or album, is it available yet , it was mentioned on reggaeville but I haven’t seen it
  19. Sounds like come with me, think it’s on the essential album
  20. I’ve got a pretty good idea what my basses are worth and that’s around the price I would sell them for, if they don’t sell for what I think then I just keep them, if someone wants to buy it and try and make more money then that really wouldn’t bother me, I suppose shops have overheads and bills
  21. Welcome Antozzi
  22. Looking good and a great project Ander, that neck is lovely
  23. Yeah, good tune Gisser
