  1. Definitely diy, if it’s an upgrade, a lot of the time the screws are in the same place 👍
  2. Great aren’t they, they have been my string choice for the last few years after sampling a set, nice tension and sound, they mellow slightly over time , but not too much, they also sound good on a precision , nice playing cam 👍
  3. Feel this one
  4. Thanks for that, I’ve just ordered a copy 👍
  5. Love a bit of king tubby ☝️, I’ve just been playing this
  6. Maybe push the pickup in a bit to take the pressure off the screws when you are unscrewing , I’m guessing there’s foam or a spring underneath pushing it up 🙂
  7. Sly and Robbie heavy Bassline
  8. They all sound good ,and listening through headphones I’d say the natural or sunburst slightly has the edge for me , nice playing btw ☝️
  9. I find it really hard to double thumb, I’ve got it a few times but it was more luck than judgement 😁
  10. Welcome DB 👍
  11. There’s a mixture of tracks here by various artists and some good big youth tunes , definitely worth a flick through
  12. Woodpeckers 😁
  13. @SumOne, you may have already seen it but Glen Browne talk’s about the thumb in capture land 🙂
  14. When I got my vinyl out one day my little boy asked what it was, when I explained he said, ah, so it’s a big CD then 😁
  15. Flabba thumb style
  16. I think I’ll give that one a miss, a bit too technical for me 😁
  17. I tried by ear but there was a few little parts I couldn’t quite get so I found this video dave, and it was helpful
  18. BB 300 just on eBay if anyone is looking
  19. The D and G strings do sound a lot quieter with the thumb, so I tend to add a bit more pressure to compensate or turn the volume up a touch, I also find some Basslines sound better, especially some of Flabba holts ones, he plays with the thumb a lot
  20. I’ve got a few days off and was playing around with different tones on my recent amp, and I ended up starting to learn this, I found it a bit trickier than it first sounds, it’s a great Bassline
  21. Welcome back SS2 👍
