  4. Welcome BassFace 👍
  5. Labella LTF’s can also go through body , the heavier gauges they don’t advise
  6. She’s got a great voice, I wish you all the best with it
  7. Hi mick, I’m no expert here btw but I did see a video once that said you can slacken off the truss rod and clamp the neck in the opposite direction to the bow, which would be in the backward position, and then try tightening it up again, I’m guessing it’s a 2 way rod ?, I’ll see if I can find the video, maybe start a thread for the experts to advise
  8. Joya landis, probably better known for moonlight lover but this is nice
  9. It’s a Linval Thompson day for me today, one of my favourite vocalist
  10. If it was mine I’d like to find out what’s original like the pickup dates, the pot dates, the tuners, bridge etc, and more importantly if the truss rod works ok as the nut looks quite far in , a buyer will ask all these questions, looks like it dates to 69, very cool bass and a lovely patina 👌
  11. Very nice, congrats 👍, I’ve got a 1024 with labella LTF’s and setup with a really low action, they are quite a powerful bass and play really nice, I don’t play it enough as I tend to always pick up one of my jazzes , I must get it out tomorrow
  12. Johnny clarke today
  13. I like some slap ,but a lot of it is showboating to me, I had lessons for it, not to play live but to just learn how to do it for my own fun, I tried slap reggae but it really doesn’t work 😁
  14. Get up in the morning, slaving for bread sir 👍
  15. Welcome feds 👍, it might be worth putting it in a shop or to someone for a setup, shouldn’t be very expensive and it would be money well spent , you can get on with playing it then
  16. Fantastic looking bass, congrats
  17. Black Uhuru night tonight
  18. A close up pic looks like S8 -78 , and they look like flats
  19. Call me boring but that would not step foot inside my front door
  20. Good choice, Great album and mato cirade is quickly coming one of my favourite bass players
  21. The new one from Clinton Fearon, he just gets better and better, so good
  22. Some John Holt this morning, big reggae bassline
  23. I know you’re playing a different genre but this video might be of use to you, I needed to build up my speed when I thought I would dabble in some funk basslines ,as a lot of what I play isn’t particularly fast, I found it really helpful
