1. If the price for the 15 on its own is good, I'd probably be quite interested ... only if you'd be prepared to courier it though. Rich

3. Yep. Sold to me - cheque's in the post tomorrow. Cheers Andy.
4. PM'd Doh! Can't believe I didn't see this quicker!!! Rich
5. Ah, sorry. I'm in Painswick, near Gloucester. Cheers.
It would be helpful to know where you are.
7. Anybody fancy my MXL 007 Stereo USB Condenser Mic - bought brand new and used once but not quite what I was after. It plugs direct into a PC or Mac, no drivers required. Records in stereo (XY pattern, gold capsules). Three levels of gain - High, Medium and Low depending on what you're recording. Absolutely as good as new - with everything you would have got had you bought it new. Looking for £70. http://news.harmony-central.com/Newp/2007/...-USB-Ships.html http://www.mxl-usb.com/USB_007/USB_007.htm Thanks Rich
8. Thanks It wasn't a pricey job. £162 for all 9 blocks in the white perloid. Would have been almost double that to have real mother of pearl. I don't think I could have bought a ready made blocked neck and had it installed/setup again for less than that! And mine is still the original neck as well.
9. Recently I posted on here asking if anybody knew of a decent Luthier in the South of England who could fit some block inlays into my 2005 Fender Jazz. I went with Knight Guitars in Surrey, who were extremely pleasant and very reasonable on price. So basically this is my 2005 Fender Jazz - Sunburst with maple neck, and now with white pearl block inlays. No binding though, as I didn't really want to mess with the overall 'feel' of the neck. I think it looks absolutely stunning So pleased.
10. Perfect seller. Communicative and helpful - easy to deal with. I bought his Moogerfooger Bass Murf off him, which is in its original box and with manual etc ... great condition. Thanks

Block Inlays

Thanks all for your responses - definitely an interesting topic I think, as Jazz basses did look incredible in the late 60's/70's. My favourite look is the maple with white pearl inlays, which is what I would get. The rosewood with white also looks amazing. Least favourite is the Geddy Lee black on white look, which has grown on me, but is a little bit contrasty for me. I should have said in my first post though - I didn't really want to just pull off the neck and stick a new one on it. It took me ages to save up to buy it in the first place, and now it's been around the country with me a few times i'm quite attached to it. So i'm really just looking to see if it's possible to have it modded a bit just to perfect it NancyJohnson - thanks for the link to Knight Guitars; I'm going to drop them an email now. I have had a quote for £300/£400 so far which was a bit pricey I think. I'd happilly spend of the order of £200 - but then would also want to know they were going to do a smart job on it. Did you hear back from them at all? Rich
12. I have a 2005 USA Fender Jazz with a maple neck (satin sort of finish - not shiny laquer). I don't know how possible it would be, but I was wondering if it would be possible to have a luthier retro-fit block inlays/binding to it for the 70's look. Tell me if this is a stupid idea ... otherwise, does anybody know of a (good) luthier in the South West (I live near Gloucester so Bristol/Birmingham/Oxford would be perfect) that would be able to do this. Rich
13. No, not the Fender Bass VI - although they are very nice, just a little too pricey for me. The Jaguar Baritone was a bit like it, but cheaper. Like this
14. Does anybody know where I could get hold of a Fender Jaguar Baritone from? I'd like the sunburst one that was around a couple of years ago rather than the current black one that's around. I had a look at Ishibashi and guitaremporium but can't seemt to find anything. Help would be much appreciated!! Rich

18. Hi, If it's any use, I use an Ezekiel through an Ampeg SVT-3 and I'd say it isn't much like a big muff at all. I only have experience of a Green Big Muff but the Ezekiel is more of an overdrive distortion in my opinion(an absolutely lush one though). So at the moment I my pedal board is made up of a Green big muff for fuzz and an ezekiel for overdrive. I got my ezekiel on eBay - they do come up once in a while ... one in America here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DAM-Ezekiel-25-17-OV...1QQcmdZViewItem but getting pretty privey. The ZVex Wooly Mammoth's a good one to try for fuzz like a Russian Big Muff, although they're immensely more extreme! Hope that's of some help. Rich
19. I just put up some Monster Bass Cables on ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1 I don't really know what their second hand price would be, which is why I've put them up for 99p, but you're welcome to make offers. Rich
20. I bought Marcus' Ampeg SVT DI a little while ago (which has any amazing sound by the way). Good communications throughout, packaged nicely - all round a very pleasant seller. Thanks Rich
