3.
Also an audere pro Z3 preamp will be a great combination ..it have a perfect quality active sound and a special "mid range boost " circuit ..
Definitely! I had an Audere in a Yamaha 5 string a few years ago and it was excellent.. I'm still interested in trades for a light weight cab of some kind, if anyone's got one spare and fancies a great 5 string Jazz in return?
  4.
Hi, did you keep the preamp? is it the Japan made as prevouisly ? Korean or chines?
Hi there, I never had the pre amp when I bought the bass unfortunately. There aren't any markings on the bass that I can see easily that identify where was made, so I can't give you an answer on that right now.. Hopefully, one of it's previous owners here on Basschat might be able to shed some light as to it's origins? Sorry I can't tell you more. Nik
  5. Just sold a Schecter Diamond P5 to Pat and he was a pleasure to deal with throughout... Good communications, fast payment - all good ! Thanks Pat; enjoy the bass!...
  6. You're welcome Pat - enjoy the bass!
  7. Lovely looking bass..in great condition too. GLWTS
  8.
You're killing me
Sorry!
  9.
Hi there, I'm a newb but I will be there. I'll definitely be bringing a MK 1 Wal Custom and a Wal Pro IIE. Poss also an Aria SB700 and a Faith Neptune Titan Acoustic Bass. Looking forward to it. Trevor
Looking forward to seeing you there Trevor, and to hearing your talk about the history of Wal Basses! For those that don't know, it was Trevor who put together this fantastic website: http://walbasshistory.blogspot.co.uk/ and, along with his two Wals, he's offered to come to the Bash and tell us more about the history of this unique British bass.
  10. Thanks Ghost_Bass, Will have a look at that briefly later today, and then will almost undoubtedly, end up sending it to a tech! Nik
  11. Hi Folks Just acquired a very nice TRB5P which sounds great, but the piezo output is very low (or non existent) on the G string compared to all the other strings. So I wondered if anyone had any advice on how to fix such a problem; is it something you can do yourself, or does it need professional expertise? Unfortunately, I am a bit of a Luddite when it comes to these things! Any comments/suggestions/advice welcomed Thanks Nik
  12. ...Updated for trade options and new price, i.e. £350 or near offer, including shipping! Regarding trades, I'm on the lookout for a 212 lightweight (ish) cab or similar, so would be prepared to do a deal if you've something interesting.. Thanks for looking. Nik
  13. *** NOW SOLD ***
  14.
Another small fix my pride & joy and sole appreciating asset There's no masking tape label inside the Pro II-Es. Your best bet for establishing its original identity is either through the Wal database if it's listed, or from Wal & Pete's original notebook which I am assuming still exists and will now be in Paul's possession. Incidentally, if anyone ever comes across one of the original factory retro-fit DI kits for the Pro II-E, please let me know.
+1 Rich Nice looking Pro IIe GLWTS

Passive EQ, bass and treble boost, blend-able FX loop, tuner out, line out and a high pass filter which is great if you like your 'Old-Skool' bass tones (which I do).. . Note about the compressor: There is a design flaw with the optical compressor on this range of amp. Basically, if you have the gain stage set quite high and then utilise the compressor, it introduces a lot of harmonic distortion, which is not good.. However, if you're careful with it, you can get some use out of the compressor. Tech Soundsystems knew about this design flaw and offered first-time buyers the chance to exchange the amp for a different model in their range, but the previous owner declined that option back in 2009 when it was offered to him.. This amp also had a new power supply board fitted in 2009 and has been fine ever since. I'm more than happy to ship this (which would probably cost around £10-12) and if so, postage costs will be on top of the price.. Equally, if you're local and want to come and try it out, you'd be very welcome.. Am also going to be selling some other amps soon as well, namely an old Peavey MK IV circa 1982 with original foot switch, and a Yamaha BBT500H, so please look out for those if they're your kind of thing. Any questions, please ask here or send me a PM.. Thanks for looking! Nik
  16.
Should be OK for this. Is there somewhere I can plug the car in? Not sure what if anything to bring. You've seen most of my stuff, but I have just added a Gen3 Big Baby II to the roster and just swapped out the Roland bass pedals for a McMillen 12 Step so could perhaps sling those, the DSIMoPho an amp and a couple of basses in the Mono bag
Sounds good to me, Al! We need to get a local Littlehampton bash together at some point too, what with your new gear and mine...
  17. *** SOLD *** Hi Folks Having just bought another 5 string bass, it's time to move on this very nice Schecter Diamond P Custom 5 String bass, which is in extremely good condition and sounds amazingly good if you want a combination of P-bass thump and MM style funk all in one! I bought in on here about three years ago and have used it for a number of rehearsals and a few gigs in that time only, so it's still pretty much in the condition it was when I picked it up back then. There are a couple of tiny dings on it, but they really are tiny.. Photos: Anyway, here are some photos... I have more but have reached my upload limit, so will try and sort that out later. You can always PM me your email address though, and I'll happily send them over to you.. Details: It's a 35" scale, passive bass, with an very even tone across all the strings and has a pretty thunderous sounding B-string! Though it's passive, the switching allows you to get a P Bass tone, Jazz bass tone and a MM bass tone too and with all of that, it has a really hot output to it - which is how Schecter designed these things; have a look at this Schecter video clip here: https://youtu.be/NVj6u5reiX8 Full spec available here on the Schecter website: http://www.schecterg...13-12-13-detail And here's a video of the actual bass itself, played by it's previous and original owner, when it was strung E-C: Price: Price-wise, I think these were over £600 when they first came out but now if you can still find one, they retail just above the £500 mark, so I'm thinking that a price of around £350 including case for one in such good condition is about right, but if you'd like to make me an offer, then please feel free to PM me - least I can do is say no.. As you can see, GAK sell the 4 string version for about £300: http://www.gak.co.uk...s-13-blue/80009 And Richtone sell this model at £519: http://www.richtonem...BA6dxoC4U3w_wcB Shipping etc: I'm always happy to ship basses and have plenty of packaging at the moment, so if you want it and you want me to ship it, I can promise you that it will be well packed!! Shipping costs are additional to the price of course, and I always recommend that you pay the extra to have a bass properly insured.. Equally, feel free to come and give it a try if you're local to me in West Sussex - you won't be disappointed (by the tea and biscuits anyway).. Any questions, please ask here or send me a PM. Thanks for looking, Nik
  18. Nice looking bass... Just to say that I just bought a Roscoe Beck V from Nico and he's a really good person to deal ; I must admit that I was a little concerned at first about buying a bass from abroad that I hadn't seen or tested, but after a series of PMs with Nico, I was happy to proceed. Throughout the whole process, communication was really good all the way and the bass arrived from Paris really well packaged up and exactly as described - I'm really happy with it in fact! GLWTS
