I didn't dare to put the comparison, so thanks for doing it. 😊
Not at all - tbh I'd much rather listen to this!

He's certainly very good, and an entertainer.
The music is kind of like a Belgian Wulfpeck only with a sense of humour and less smugness.

Those Aussies just rocked the living sheeeet out of the house. Cap doffed in their direction.
Deservedly through to the final.

Unlikely that anyone on here knows him but my old mate Mark Russell was known amongst local PA system circles as Leather Lungs -chiefly due to his ability to activate every single clip light if using mic levels suitable for a regular human!

My strap is also adjusted so that the height of the bass is the same sitting or standing, so seat choice isn't too important
This is what I do - I also play in the classical position when seated.

Cheers. I wouldn't have got here without your encouragement to get started.
Thanks man, that genuinely means a lot to me 🙂

Bloody great mate 👍

To me it neither looks good nor sounds good. And certainly doesn't appear to justify the cost.
@Happy Jack's The Rail is a far more elegant solution.

Bargain.
I have many bass guitars of varying shapes and sizes. My identical to this Yamaha is the only one I really need.

^^ yep there's no pitch correction there. They don't need it 👍
I can't stand it, properly ruins it for me.

They tried to get selected last year too, with the song "Dreamer". They won the audience vote, but not the jury vote. This year, there was no public vote, and they got "appointed", probably because they got passed over last year!
Dreamer - that was the song I was on about!

Voyager are awesome! I saw them open for Leprous once here in the Netherlands, and have been listening to them regularly since. I wasn't aware they were competing in Eurovision this year, but that's awesome!
I saw them supporting VOLA last year. They played a number and my gig buddy turned to me and said "It sounds a bit Eurovision doesn't it"
They then explained that it had been their entry into Australia's choose a Eurovision entry that year!
They are a really good professional band and put on a great show.

Just buy a Harley Benton Progressive 5 fretless. Plenty left in the budget for tweaking.

From a story I heard about Norman, you'd have been fine and he would have probably bought you a drink.
Yes - I had a chat with him when he played on a stage I was working. Thanked him for being an inspiration and he was great about it!

I reckon I've got a body for this John

They are awesome. I'd like a crack at the vocals if I'm honest

I've played this bass - it's amazing!

On big stages, I usualy start at 80Hz and turn it down only if I'm really missing the low end. I send a pre-HPF signal to the FOH, so it's just my onstage monitoring that gets the HPF treatment.
The Rafferty unit is probably based on the FDeck, but it doesn't say what the imput impedance is, which is critical for piezo pickups.
Rafferty have a group page on FB, I'm going to join and ask some questions I think.

Looks like a similar preamp setup to the B-bass

Sold for £85....
Definitely worth it at that price

Definitely worth a punt as it's more likely the socket has failed I reckon. Too far for me though!

The only strings I've ever snapped had been recently boiled.
As @TheGreeksays - they only really sound a bit fresher for a short while and are no substitute for decent new strings.

We could compare it with my 6.0 🙂
