This was mine and I miss it! Very underrated pedal.
GLWTS
You're welcome to buy it back! 🤣

Only two of mine are named. My Ric-a-like was already called Ronnie Barker when I acquired it, and my BC Rich Zombie is called Dolores.

And if you miss both the B and the C you get Boris Johnson 😁
Ever since reading some folk abbreviate Basschat to BC my brain started rearranging the website header to BCasshat.

I swap a lot, fingers, slap, pick.
I don’t change amp settings ever as I want the differences to be obvious.
I use a chunk of compression to help even out the massive dynamic differences though.
I’ll often lower the bass tone for some songs but it’s not technique dependent, could be for any of the 3 ways. The song makes the choice really.
I use compression in the same way (I don't slap though)
A Darkglass Super Symmetry has transformed my pick tone, it has done wonders for my confidence.

The price versus quality comparisons would likely show the Japanese offerings to be the best of “Big F’s” entire range.

New sleep token album “take me back to Eden”. It’s going to divide opinion for sure. For anyone not aware they’re an intriguing anonymous bunch who dress up on stage that are on their third album. Previous material is strong, particularly 1st album.
Becoming quite the crossover act blending detuned metal with pop sensibilities. I know this sounds hideous but hear me out.Not much in the way of prominent bass parts but really enjoying the album as a whole.
The production is absolutely massive sounding, very polished.
Highlights are the snare drum sound, all singles released so far, the riff on ascensionism around 4mins in. Lots of colour in this and it improves on repeat.
I don't get what the fuss is about. Over polished pitch corrected vocals layered over derivative and not very heavy metal. Like Justin Bieber meets Bring me the Horizon.

I'm surprised so many people still use Amazon. I thought their atrocious company ethics, staggering destruction of resources, appalling employee treatment and mind-blowing knob headedness of Bezos would have deterred most people by now.
Same, I still feel we are in a minority sadly.

I have a Stagg one, however I think it may be a little too shallow and narrow.
I'll measure when I get home this evening.
As suspected this won't work

In fairness, the pliers & polyfilla defret job may pre-date his ownership of the neck - one shouldn't jump to conclusions! Reversible I suppose, but definitely above my skill level. Looks as though the finish has been either removed or sanded back too, the ones I've seen before had gloss lacquer.
It had water damage to the lacquer which is why he sanded it back - probably a result of the defret.
I was watching it on ebay but it got a bit too spendy for me, I was gutted when I found out it had taken the road to Langney.

I don't think he's destroyed it, just written on it and wonked the tuners. Petty vandalism rather than destruction. I'm assuming he hasn't shortened it at the body end, of course.
Have a look at how deep the G string nut slot is - it's right through into the fingerboard.

It doesn't get much use tbh - my TCE combo suffices for most stuff but it's nice to have a bigger rig available if I need it. I may have to bring it along just to blow out the cobwebs!
