There's two kinds of bassists who all use distortion / overdrive in various degrees.
Those whose tone includes a significant amount of clean mids who will easily hear when a phase correction is in order and have opted for said correction.
The rest. I suspect many of this group have never A/B trialled a phase correction to their clean blend.
I have 4 different drive options on my board. I guess I've just been lucky.

That's a de-fret rather than an original fretless

I'd just make up a phase switch cable. It's not hard.

No phase switch!
I haven't needed one

I have a much simpler and cheaper setup.
One of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255992453701
And one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266100485406
Works great 👍

Yes of course, will do.
Have you been picking up messages from the RIP Norm thread?

That's really nice!

Awesome, thanks!
I'll probably try them on my HB fretless 👍

I really like the Louisiana, really good little venue and they get some great bands. The sound is usually decent.
It's great isn't it? They have live music every night 🙂

Saw three bands at the Louisiana in Brisso last night. Some doom-y sludge fun from Orcon. An unremarkable middle set and then some proper quirky weirdness from a pair of lads going by the name of Vetna. A real journey through pretty much all of the genres - it was a bit like the soundtrack to a low budget sci-fi film and really quite enjoyable.

Are they the AC/DC tribute that has both a Bon and a Brian singer, Steve?
They used to do both - a very good friend, now sadly departed was their Malcolm for many years. They are a very professional bunch with a 6-figure turnover.

Agree - everybody should have one of these.
If this was a month later I would!

Also worth noting that a simple volume pedal allows you to switch between 2 different setups.

Heartily agree, I love my Poly Blue 👍

So was Basso a duplicate account then? I see his account has been deleted...
Do I win a prize?

Can I ask the bridge spacing please?

Pre-CBS pens are better.

Rabbie then sold the Fishman pre to me!
An absolutely seamless transaction, thanks @Rabbie 👍

It can be set to whatever interval you choose (within reason - there is a mechanical limit but its quite far)

Nice - I have one too and it's also bloody heavy! Bubinga is proper dense it seems.
They do play nicely, an excellent starter fretless and much nicer than what I started with 🤣
Mine needs some electrical attention as the bridge pickup is very quiet.

I got the 800mm as I was running out of room on my existing 600mm jobby from Thomann. £36 delivered was ridiculously cheap!
It's a little bit bigger than I expected 🤣
Interestingly they are obviously both made in the same factory. All the fittings and fixtures are identical.
