I’ve never liked rats.
Same
I've tried a LOT of them, I'm still not entirely satisfied.
I'm currently using a combination of Le Bass, Hot Wax and a Darkglass B3k but am not getting what I want.

My very early ABM500EvoRc decided to give up the ghost on me tonight, with a puff of smoke and the delightful smell of electrical burning, halfway through the first set of a gig. One stroke of luck, before the gig I was going to take my Darkglass Microtubes X ultra off my little pedal board and put my EBS Sheehan pedal back on but decided I couldn’t be bothered to faff about. I don’t usually go through the PA for smaller gigs, but luckily I was able to use the Darkglass as a DI box to bail me out.
Definitely worth contacting @Ashdown Engineering they are really helpful and can usually get you sorted.

and also Ruth Goller of Melt Yourself Down and (very differently) SKYLLA
Melt Yourself Down have some very bass driven tunes. Excellent stuff 👍

I'm still tempted! The trouble is I don't think I have any pedals that you haven't already tried 🤣

There are some fantastic skinny string players too amongst the girls.
I saw Nita Strauss with Alice Cooper recently. Wow! She is a fantastic musician!
I recently discovered Minnie Marks - she plays guitar and foot drums and has an amazing voice too.

I think the first bass I bought was a Washburn Force ABT bass in red with the lighting crackle design on it. No idea what happened to it but I know I bought it from Andertons in the late 80's when they were in their original building.
I've also has a couple of Washburn AB20 acoustic basses. They were great basses but to me were a bit pointless if not fretless.
I've got a crackle red B20, and a plain (but aged) red B10 with a B20 neck and bridge.
My first bass I owned was a B2, then I had two B10s.

Whose little battery powered amp was this? I ought to remember but my brain's gone blank!
@Mottlefeeder's acoustic Ibanez 5 string sounded lovely through it. A perfect pair for backing up an otherwise acoustic set.
I have a feeling the amp is also @Mottlefeeder's

Cheers dude! Think I’m all spent for this month though 😂
(ssshhh, bring it just in case…)
I'm sure we can work something out 😉

I have an EHX Bass Blogger im getting rid of that I reckon would work well, even has 2 outputs (dry and distorted)
Can bring to the Bash on Sunday?

I like compression, if set correctly it allows me to really dig in without drowning out the rest of the band. I recently picked up a Darkglass Super Symmetry and I love it - my pick playing in particular has been massively helped.

Would a Digitech RP80 multi effects box be suitable for the raffle? Happy to donate if so 👍

Yes I was planning to bring it. The trouble is since I got it out to bring I’m enjoying playing it again!!!!
I'd love to try it out - I really want an 8 but this makes 3 basses for sale that I want right now!

Dammit. I have a matching P-bass to this.
Please don't burn it! I'll find a way before that needs to happen...

What kind of trades would you be interested in?

I would definitely file open the nut slot first - I've had one break before by not doing so.

I've met the seller - he has really excellent taste in bass guitars. Definitely worth checking this one out I would say.
