  1. I'm considering adding a flanger to my pedalboard, and I could get a Boss BF-3 for cheap off of a friend, I'm a little weird about the aesthetic of having a Boss-style enclosure on a board that isn't entirely in that aesthetic. So, with that in mind, could the good folks here please recommend me a good flanger pedal for bass, please? I already have a chorus I love so I don't need something that does both.
  2. Whilst I'm very much a fan of the EHX Bass Clone and it gives me the chorus sound I absolutely love, the TC Corona or the Mooer Ensemble Queen might suit you more.
  3. No More "I Love You's" - The Lover Speaks.
  4. My Bologna - Weird Al.
  5. I'm in the process of altering my pedalboard setup. Since my last band ended, I no longer need to provide octave up to fill in between bass and violin so off goes the octaver. In its place, I'm getting a pedal tuner from a friend, so on goes a Korg Pitchblack Advance. A bit of fiddling around this evening proves to me that I really do just need a compressor, bass friendly chorus and preamp with a drive circuit. As such, my setup is now Pitchblack tuner - Wampler Mini Ego, EHX Bass Clone, MXR Carbon Copy Mini - Tech 21 VTBass DI. Okay, so I do occasionally have use for a delay. I did play around with settings and realised I was overdoing the rate of the chorus and pulled it back from 12 o'clock to around 7 o'clock but keeping the depth all the way up. Drive is at about 9 o'clock for my core tone but I do like to sound of the drive at full - not sure when I'd use that much though. Very minimalist setup but if you don't need something, why have it?
  6. Jasmine and Rose - Clan of Xymox
  7. Informer - Snow
  8. Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Tears for Fears.
  9. Water on Glass - Kim Wilde
  10. No one interested? Okey-dokey. Guess I'm gonna be looking at trading at my local store - never mind, it happens.
  11. Suicide Day - Pink Turns Blue
  12. In chronological order: The Noctuary (Very pro-form of...) Mourning For Autumn Every Black Day Ghost Light All goth bands. With differing levels of skill and competency. Sometimes great skill and no skill were present at the same time in the early bands.
  13. I don't currently have a band, I have a project where I'm in charge so the name's my choice. I opted for Ghost Light. It comes from an old Doctor Who story which I liked the name of as it sounds really gothic and appropriate for a goth act. It was almost the name of my old band but it got voted down.
  14. Shotgun Blues - GN'R
  15. Geezer Butler plays a signature Lakland, doesn't he?
  16. And with that budget they'll probably be very happy to help you out, that's very tidy sum of cash right that.
  17. Thunder Kiss '65 - White Zombie
  18. Laney RBW300 - 165 watts. I bought this in 2007, gigged and used at band practices a few times but not since 2009 as I moved to an amp-free set-up. Moved around a few houses but kept in dry rooms. Still works as good as when bought and was tested recently. A little bit frayed around the edges as can be seen in the photos but nothing major. The sticker was added in 2008 and should come off easily enough if you want to remove it. Collection only, I'm afraid as I don't drive.
  19. The Tenant - Play Dead
  20. Tech21 VT bass DI
  21. Thanks. Good points.
  22. Indeed I am not, and the money would be nice to have. I'll have to get some pictures taken and get an ad. up.
  23. Erk! Those vintage synths are spot on the pricey side for sure.
  24. Burning Oil - Skeletal Family
  25. Yes - Owner of a Lonely Heart
