Thanks I think it's quite classic looking and understated and I didn't have a problem spraying this one *picking myself up off the floor after fainting* I am trying to get away from painted and do natural or stained woods because I have a bit of a mare most times when it comes to painting bodies!! I'm having to flatten the paint again on the fenderbird because 3 days after the paint had dried its decided to react and crackle!! 🤬 But at work we are going to build a dedicated spray booth to spray doors, furniture etc so that might make my life a bit easier??

My two new acquisitions The black 5 string is a 2017 model according to the s/n but the blue 4 string doesn't come up with any info on Warwicks website but I got them both for £350 so needless I'm like the cat that got the cream............ 😀

Welcome Carlcoops I agree with @josie they are both important, except I lean more towards learning songs but start with scales as a bit of a warm up If your into grunge and punk then Green day songs are a great place to start some are quite simple but enjoyable to play I started with Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams then worked up to Longview Good luck!! 😁

I decided to go with my original plan as stated at the start of this thread So I sprayed the body satin white yesterday......... 😀 I like the fact you can still see the grain, I'll be getting it back together tomorrow when I get home from work so I'll post finished pics.......... P.S. Please mind the logo I put it on as a joke I'm NOT trying to pass it off as a real fender.

Going to be picking up 2 Warwick Rockbass Corvettes next week a 4 string and 5 string I got the both for £350 which I didn't think was a bad deal? I know they are only Rockbasses but I've always wanted a Warwick so I'm over the moon The 5 string needs a bit of tlc, the only kick in the nuts is that they are for my 40th birthday which isn't till October and the missus has told me I can't have them till then ☹️

I agree why hasn't anyone produced black fret wire I think that would look great against a maple board or like you say on an ebony giving the look of a fretless.........

I ordered my truss rod and fret wire last night they are turning up next week....... I've watched a few videos on YouTube but @Andyjr1515 and @Jabba_the_gutor anyone else if you have any advice or tips on best way to do the fretting as this is the first time I've attempted it I would be very grateful thanks........... 😀

I've just used the Rust-oleum all surface satin rattle can which I'd never used before and it's come out OK, they have a nice wide fan spray pattern with nice coverage I didn't grain fill as I wanted to still see the grain through the paint 😀

I'm with you on that, the amount of times I've sanded through the colour or the paint has reacted in some way (even though I've wiped it down with degreasing wipes and not touched it with my bare hands!!) and I've had to sand it back and respray it it would have probably been cheaper to send it off to be finished professionally and a lot less hassle!! But saying that I'm still going to start spraying my P bass White tomorrow!?! 😳

My fretboard turned up today so it will be all systems go next week......... If you look closely its got a little bit of rippling............

I've taken the chrome hardware off of my Quincy to use on this build and fitted black instead it looks a lot better....... 😀

I'm interested in it but not for nowhere near £400 I suppose you could lose the dents with a pickguard so it's a sort of flashback style?? Or put a drop top on it??
