Well, I finally manage to obtain the cab of my dreams & then I receive the vet bill from hell before I even got the chance to play a gig with it!! This is the rare 8ohm version and therefore is ideal as an extension cab if you are lucky enough to own the combo. It is both small & light, plus the build quality is second to none and it is in lovely condition with just the obligatory few scratches to the protective corners. **I have just amended the listing - having assumed that the speaker would be an Electrovoice?? however in the interest of getting the details correct before letting her go - please see the next paragraph** 1 x 12 front facing Celestion Neo BN12 - 300s 300w speaker - I presume that the original speaker was an Electrovoice? and it has been replaced at some stage?? - but then again what do I know?? - apart from that Lean Celestion sold them at £111.00 each until they sold out of them + it sounds fab and makes the cab ridiculously light. I have actually played in an 8 piece band with the 200w Neo 10" version of this speaker (which had a brass section, a reincarnation of Rick Wakeman and a really loud drummer from the planet Loud) & was asked if I could 'turn down a bit' - what's all that about ?? - having thought about it though, it probably wasn't the volume, but my really rubbish playing !! High quality adjustable horn AND a passive downward facing 1 x 10 driver - phwoar!!! - which appears to be the original one. Comes complete with an original Mesa cover. All this & I never even had the pleasure of rehearsing with it, but it sounded blinking fab at home Bought very recently from a fellow basschatter, for £250 + postage, so I'd just like to get the same back for it, to go towards the vitnery bill!! Would prefer cash on collection, or payment via Paypa - 'as a gift', or Bank transfer & buyer to arrange their own courier please. Pics to follow when it's light

Original mid 80's HOHNER B2 passive headless four string bass in fantastic condition with just one small 4mm chip on the rear at the back, so can't be seen from the front. One owner from new - me! Low action all the way up the neck, good intonation, Licensed by Steinberger Tuning system - so stays in tune. Lightweight - under 7 pounds & sounds "Fab"!! Through Maple neck nd Maple wings. Will be very sad to see this go after almost 30 years, but needs must I'm afraid. I have owned several over the years - both passive and active and in my humble opinion, this sounds better than the active ones - plus there is no battery to change, or active preamp to go wrong, as they are prone to. Plenty of power from the original humbucker pick ups. Lovely bass and the new owner will definitely not be disappointed. Please feel free to come and try it out - you will love it.

It is indeed the same model, albeit in the arguably much more desirable all black finish In my very humble opinion - one fifty is way too low a price for one of these - try getting a quote to have one imported, including import duty, shipping costs and the dreaded VAT - ouch!! Also, the fact that Bass Direct - who I believe are the only UK Kala stockists? don't have any in stock and can't say when, or even 'if' at all will 'ever' have any in stock again, as according to the very helpful Chappie at Bass Direct I spoke to said they are not currently in production, as Kala are preferring to produce the far more expensive 'California' range - which must make this a very rare beastie, especially on this side of the pond. Apparently when these 'were' available in UK they retailed around the four hundred pound mark, so I thought two fifty, (which is less than I paid for it), was a reasonable price, given the condition and the rarity. I know for a fact - just like Chris that I will regret letting her go because she is just so handy, takes up no room at all, sounds soooo good and will be virtually impossible to replace - (unless I win the Lottery of course), but I'm afraid 'needs must' - umph !! -

**Price drop** - now £275.00 !! Markbass CMD Jeff Berlin Players School Combo Hardly used - in excellent condition - based on the Little Mark 250 Blackline model. See pictures below. The CMD JB PLAYERS SCHOOL Combo is a highly-portable size, and it weighs only 34.61 lbs (15.7 Kg). Its sound is professional, and like all Markbass rigs, getting the right sound is as simple as setting the amp flat, plugging in, and turning up the volume. EQ only needs to be used when compensating for unusual venue acoustics and having owned several Markbass amps - including a couple of F1's & LMK's Littlemark 2's and 3's - this thing goes loud on it's own - without farting out and goes VERY loud with an extension speaker plus the sound is the usual high quality Markbass tones we love. Buyer pays for postage - total package weight: under 20KG - postage, packaging & insurance - Parcelforce 24 would be £37.81 or 48 hour would be £33.31 - fully insured. SPECIFICATIONS. Speaker Size: 1 x 15" Speaker Power Handling (AES Standard): 200w RMS Frequency Responce: 40 Hz to 5K Hz Sensitivity dB SPL: 100 Impedance: 8 ohms Reflex: Rear Preamp: Solid State Amp Output Power: 150w RMS at 8 ohms / 250w RMS at 4ohms Weight Kg/lbs: 15.7 Kg Any questions please contact me, or you are more than welcome to try it out if l'm not too far away from you in North Staffs.

Thanks for the heads up re set up in the USA - I obtained the specs from the web, but must have been looking at the very expensive California range! I have amended the post now. I believe it's a similar deal to Sadowsky - where the only difference is the expensive exotic wood they tend to use on the NYC models, but like the Kala SUB, have the same high quality components and build quality as their more expensive cousins. Here is a nice review, Kala S.U.B. Sunburst (4-string) Construction and playability The Kala SUB has a bolt on neck with 22 frets. The scale length is 21″ inches (53,34 cm) (13″ less then a regular 34″ electric bass). Compared to the fretless acoustic/electric model I have played since 2010 there are a few differences in how it feels to play. In my opinion it was easier for me to play the fretless than the fretted. This is almost only because of the scale length. When I first started playing the SUB I tended to fret on the frets. It has however been a lot easier over time. When you fret ‘on-the-fret’ a not so pleasing sound will be heard. There is more ‘looking-at-the-right-hand’ than when I play a regular 34-35″ bass. This is simply because it feels more natural. (I have been playing electric bass for 25+ years). All in all I think it’s definitely nice to play. The only negative thing that I have to mention is that the fretwork is not top notch. There are quite a few frets that need some ‘more love’. But in this price range it’s quite common and the new SUB’s are hopefully even better. The one I’ve been playing was probably made 1-1,5 years ago or more. Sound I have played this Ubass almost a year now. It’s been used on different gigs. From cover band type of gigs to a Beatles tribute with a large choir and band in a concert hall. I think it works really well in these situations. The sound suited these shows perfect and anywhere you would choose a Fender P-bass. A friend told me about a supposedly old Fender P-bass add that said: ”It’s got one sound – the sound you want” The Kala Solid body’s has a really warm and full sound! This is one key ingredient that it blends so well with other instruments! The pre-amp in the SUB is designed to deliver a quite hot and ‘bassy’ sound hence the name SUB! -
