  1. I really like this thread for the way it has highlighted the ‘different strokes for different folks’ adage and why there are so many different types of basses out there. The last 5 posts alone are cases in point.
  2. Had them on my Ibanez GWB35 and they are standard on some makes.
  3. Cut Me To The Bone - Robben Ford & The Blue Line
  4. Eyes Waterfalling - Level 42
  5. I remember reading somewhere to avoid anything with silicone in it. I have a small bottle ‘guitar polish’ that came with some Fender case candy over 10 years ago. I still have it somewhere, lasts for ages.
  6. Dogs - Pink Floyd
  7. Nice, understated configuration; good choices made there. 12 weeks would normally fly by, these days maybe not so much. It’ll be worth the patience in the end.
  8. Loved that shop, really nice guys. I tried my first Wal there IIRC.
  9. Hammer To Fall - Queen
  10. I can't understand why this thread hasn't been locked, doesn't it go against the site's ethos?
  11. Free Fallin' - Tom Petty
  12. High Into The Sky - Pilot
  13. Behind The Mask - Clapton
  14. Stranglehold - Ted Nugent
  15. Tie Your Mother Down - Queen
  16. Fields of Fire - Big Country
  17. Picks bass up, plays two notes, ‘assistant’ asks, “How’re you getting along with that?” 😤
  18. Bird Of Paradise - Snowy White
  19. Manu Katché, Stewart Copeland, Jeff Porcaro, Steve Gadd, Tom Brectlein. Probably in that order too. However, I’ve had the privilege to work with a drummer for the last decade or so, who we refer to as Mr Clock. On top of which, he is more than capable of channeling the aforementioned names rather nicely. Undoubtedly, made me a better bass player.
  20. Mistra Know it all - Stevie Wonder
  21. We must all rise up and type Dïck.
  22. Swear away, its entertaining to see what the filter picks up and what it changes them to.
  23. And the accordions. I think I’m right in saying that this was how they started out with Lou Macari.
  24. Van Halen did a song called this too. Hunting High & Low - Aha.
  25. Agreed, that looks salvageable. Rather than suggest potential fixes, I'm going to call in an expert. Paging Dr @Andyjr1515.
