1. http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/aria-pro-ii-bass-guitar-for-sale/109144959 seems a little bargain to me. BB
2. probably cos it only went up at 9.40 this morning BB
3. The blue one is a wee bit special I suppose being a through neck and having the Nautilus style programming. Rather have a nice eighties carbon necked Passion meself BB
4. And an even cheaper fretless one at CrackConvertors in that London http://www.cashconverters.co.uk/auction-item/437436/vigier-arpege-bass-guitar BB The blue one does have a zoro fret though :-)
5. I think you did the right thing There'll be another one along in a minute anyway. BB (Re)amended for clarity
6. Also wonder if the price is now being shilled up by another " zero-feedbacker" bidder BB
7. I live just outside Glasgow but the seller wont reply to any questions/requests to view I have sent him. I think the scenario for the winner will be to be asked for money transfer or cheque and paypal or cash/pick up will suddenly not be an option. I hope i am wrong and someone does get a bargain but as HS says " I've got a bad feeling about this.... " BB
8. and answer came there none...... did a bit of digging and what has caught them out for me - apart from TGTBT - is the sellers other item for sale, a genuine second hand Louis Vuitton trunk at £16! These are actually worth more than the Wal !!! And there identical adverts for the trunk all over craigslist and other classified ad sites in that London. Now to find the money for HappyJacks beautiful 5'er........... BB
9. Have requested more pics and confirmation of cash/pick-up being ok BB
10. Nice early progress for someone for silly money. Anyone here? Meant to bid at the last minute but got distracted by the Wal Luke posted. At that price I would have driven down to pick it up! BB
11. Cheers Luke, I wouldn't have spotted this one otherwise being under 'decor' although ironically that is what it would be for me as i dont play live anymore. I think at least one BC'r is already bidding but will keep an eye on it BB I know it's a default but collection in person is listed under P&P
12. seems happy with cash on pick up which would be the way to go to be on the safe side. Unless he's one of those Glaswegian heroin addicts ;-) BB
13. Its listed under home decor and since when was Glasgow in Lancashire? A bit odd. BB Will have a punt if it looks like it will go for a good price.
14. The eBay one could be the fretted 'twin' of one that appears in the news section at the Overwater site - I want them both and i want them NOW! http://overwaterbasses.com/latest-news-new-shop-page/ BB
15. A quick snap of Betty Blue, a very early original ( possibly 79 according to Chris ) with the conturing on the body and Bill Lawrence EB50 humbuckers BB
16. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
17. If that's the one i think it is he paid less than £450 for it back in April fom Gumtree Glasgow - still nice though..... BB
18.
Twin to my XL transitional fretless... beauty!
Sounds nice! lined or unlined? (never having seen an unlined one, always wondered if they did them ) Is there a steiny thread in the Porn section? must go look and yes i realise they may all "look the same" because of lack of wood ! BB
19. Had one of the warwick ones but didn't account for the necks and heads leaning out over the back of the stand therefore the space required for it was bigger than the footprint of the stand ie couldn't put it flush against a wall. Solution - sold all me basses and took up the uke! BB Not really now use Jercules hanging stands
20. Had done one all that have managed to get the gap to 1mm but that is with the pup at its lowest - if i want to increase the gap I would have to raise the action. BB
21. Panties or parties asides , it is quite easy! The Pro independants are accused of stealing the original and the anti independants are accused of stealing the original.......... BB
22. I have a 2004 Dolphin NT ( Duh! ) very nice, very playable, neck is a bit chunky and action is a nice 2.5mm at the 12th ( i have a light touch so this suits ) but this is the minimum i can make it anyway as any lower and the strings hit the bridge pickup if i play up the dusty end. Relief is fine. looking at pics of other dolphins this pickup does always look high and there seems v little adjustment available in the pick up height. Is it a Warwick thing or a Dolphin thing or just mine? BB
