  1. I respect your opinion. The fact cannot be denied, however, that Squier is Fender’s budget brand and they’ve designed a price/product hierarchy around that. The bass in question here isn’t a hallowed JV, though, anyway.
  2. Haha - your one quite nice/superb Squier doesn't invalidate the substance of my post and doesn't validate the expectation of excessive prices across the board. 🙂
  3. But if you're wearing platform shoes, presumably it won't hit the floor!
  4. It seems to me that generally people are trying to "enhance" the value of Squiers. OK, maybe there are some particular ones which may be quite nice, but the rest are just Fender's budget brand.
  5. I've just spent £180 on a couple of cases of wine.
  6. £1k is a bit too much for me.
  7. I think that "accidental" misnomer does say a lot! 🙂
  8. That's a fair price; a lot of folks seem to want to sell the HB's for more than they are new!
  9. Sold for £57, which probably isn't a bad price.
  10. £232 ain't a low start in my book!
  11. I looked at that earlier; it's had a bid, so the BIN is gone. I do like the ageing of the wood.
  12. Everybody should own a Thunder at some point in their bass-playing adventures.
  13. Well, I think it's super, man!
  14. I think the Octamizer is the most natural sounding octave pedal I've tried.
  15. More wally...
  16. I kinda like it...
  17. Mine are ok; they can vary.
  18. Yep, they changed. What do you mean a lump at the nut?
  19. Kudos for keeping the Squier brand on it and not "upbranding" it to a fake Fender!
  20. My baloney-ometer has kicked into action. So, it's not a 1970's then. Maybe not such great build quality, then. A variant on "the wife" angle. Good attention to detail there. Bar the knobs? What lawsuit?
  21. Yes, of course; not for me, this one, though.
  22. Much uglier than a Gibson, too...
  23. Mine was a passive one - I bought it new. I think the active came later.
  24. I used to have one back in the 80s; one of our sets was wearing black and red, so I had mine with a red strap.
