1. Yeah, that one actually looks insane, a lot better than you'd expect from just hearing about it. The aluminium jazz look cool too, but I'm thinking of the fretless metal board mainly, too expensive though.
 2. A nice jazz always works, the Squier VMJ fretless is a good option, as it has the hard phelonic board, sounds nice and bright!
 3.
I like the technical information: For those who don't know this bass is from Bas Extravaganzaand unfortunately it's sold.
Yeah, but the jazz with the tube is still there, pretty tempting!
 4. How about this punk bass, again not mine, but this time fully functonal. More pic's soon! EDIT: Here they are! All this done on purpose, by a luthier!
 5.
WTF thats just wrong, what happened to it?
House fire, its Tony Levin's custom 3 string, he sent a funny letter to Ernie Ball afterward, I'll try to dig it up.
Whats its sound like ? and is that a book-matched maple top....? I think to qualify it must be usable.....sorry mate...
Haha, I guessed as much, but it came instantly to mind!
 6. Not actually mine, but quiet possibly the worst bass in existance.
 7.
'+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE ('Me - half an hour ago ')</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->The current Rockinbetter & Indie basses are quite different - the Indie is set-neck, not through-neck, and does not have a Rickenbacker-shaped headstock. The one I played had different hardware too. According to the main man at Indie, it's made in Korea. Although the one I played/examined did have a bridge pup cover - with a Jazz pickup under it. J.
Only a five min difference! I had the reply box open as I searched for the pic! Anyway, the one you played, you could call it the "Cliff Burton Special"
 8. The Indie Ric copy is different again, but does look very close to the Rockinbetter, its got no bridge pickup cover, and a fender style bridge.
 9.
This Rockinbetter's quite interesting, it's always referred to as Tokai Rockinbetter - but funnily enough no matter how hard you look, you won't find a reference to "Rockinbetter" on Tokai's website - or, as far as I can tell - "Tokai" anywhere on the instrument. There was no Tokai Rick bass copy back in the 70s & 80s. I'm not convince there's any connection beyond the mass anecdotal consensus of The Interwebs. Jon.
Indeed there is no mention of the Tokai name on the bass, but the shops are getting them off of Tokai. If the neck was smaller, I'da probably bought the one I played, and bought a Hipshot Ric bridge, and a propper bridge pickup cover for it.
 10. I've tried the Rockingbetter, make sure you try it out first if you go for it, real chunky neck, too much for me, and big necks don't normally bother me.
 11.
The neck and string spacing mirrors my Ken Smith bass, which is really comfortable. So the measurements are: String Spacing: 9mm at the nut, 18mm at the bridge Fingerboard Width: 1 3/4" at the nut, 3" at the 24th Fret And thanks for the compliments guys, I have to admit the bass has surpassed my expectations. It's beautifully put together and sounds amazing.
Sounds fantastic! And 24 frets on an ABG!
 12. Is it the springs on the bridge vibrating and causing a buzz?
 13. Does anyone know how loud the Spectorcore is unplugged? I'm looking for a fretless I can practice with unplugged, or carry places with me, it dosn't have to be loud really, just enough so I can hear myself clearly when I'm on my own. The lightness is a bonus, and I do like HZ's, last but not least, it is a real looker.
 14.
I'm sorry, but a lot of people are gonna ask this. £100.38? Is this an eBay transaction or direct sale from Warmoth? Even the Warmoth scratch/dent/overstocks (AKA Showcase) stuff wouldn't even get you a finished body for that price, let alone a neck and body. P
Import tax, you pay Warmoth before they build the stuff for you. Sexy looking stuff so far.
 15. Stunning bass! How wide is it at the nut?
 16. I bet that 12 string is a blast to play!
 17. Those are two seet lookin' basses.
 18.
yeah they do make some nice basses, always fancied a go at an A4
They make nice stuff, and a a good price point, I wouldn't be suprised if I owned more in the future.
are those Kahler trems on the Frankenjazz and SX P? is there much routing needed to fit those?
They are, Hybrid's from Whammiworld. The rout isn't that big, I wouldn't do it without knowing I want one, unless the instrument dosn't matter to you. I took the chance without trying one, and loved them. I lucked out, I can understan they are not for everyone. Kahler rout.
 19. Thanks guys! As for the Cort, its real growly and agressive, loud as hell too, and fully active/passive. Cops a decent Stingray sound, and the neck is lightning fast, since its raw wood.
 20.
Very eclectic collection there mate
What can I say, I have no style,
Where's the 7-string
Does it count if I duct tape two together and take a string off.
Where is the bass in your avatar
Oh that , thats an artists rendering of a super shortscale picallo six string bass................
