    Over the years, I've done a couple.... John Hollis 'Flatline' on veroboard. Which was an easy build, and a nice sounding optical compressor on bass. Similarly, also built something based on the Demeter Compulator. Which has been on my board for years as a staple, as it's pretty transparent & easy to dial up something sounding natural. Next build will be a 'Pumpernickle'. Bought the kit ages ago, but have only just found the time to start on it. Looking forward to finally finishing it. Totally agree with you Bigwan on the enclosure. Also, I think the designer stopped selling the pre-drilled enclosures a while ago.... I've got a drill press, and I'm not bad at drilling enclosures, but took the the easy option on this & got Tayda to do the 125B for me. Price was not bad (IMO) at $4.50 drilling service + $6 for the powder coated enclosure. Delivery time was pretty good, within two weeks.

    I got one of the sonic blue ones back in the day. To be fair, I modded & pimped it up quite substantially.... Mighty Mite neck, pearloid pickguard, EMG's. I guess the only original thing left was the body 🙂

    I was wondering the same to be honest Sorry I do have to concur with StuartB, the dents do make it seem a refinish, but it's undoubtedly a lovely bass. I have two Tokai's from this period & wouldn't part with them, as they're so good ... GLWTS 👍

    Got myself another Squier Vista Musicmaster in black the other day, to keep the recently acquired shell pink one company. Pink is strung with Labella black tapewounds, and the black has Daddario Chromes.... Need to some shielding work on both, when I get the time, as they are wee bit noisy, and the black one needs a new tone pot.... But for the money I think they're great little basses these 🙂
