1. Hi, cheers no footswitch included... but I'm pretty competent at soldering, electronics etc so will make make one once I find schematic. It does look clean, just missing a slider...
2. This big beautiful blue beast is in coming soon. I can't wait & neither can my back! 😂
3. Cheers... yeah the Tokai is a slightly deeper neck profile to lots of other Jazz basses I've tried, though I can't say chunky. The Stringray is to me, chunky compared to it & taking a bit of time to adjust to it... The Jazz is quite similar to my '84 Tokai 'Harpuncher' which has a B-profile neck. My favourite type of neck to play, lovely.
4. Just got back from a long stint working overseas...whilst away thought I'd treat myself... Now while back in the UK, stoked to be finally getting my hands on these lovelies : 2016 Stingray, 1978 Shergold Marathon, 1984 Tokai Jazz
5. They are U.S. based. Maybe Mark Phillip's stateside counterpart?
6. Sorry, it looks like Stevie Wonder's routed the pickup cavity with a bolster chisel on this 'Phat Jaco' humbucker version https://reverb.com/item/22325043-custom-fretless-jazz-bass-phat-jaco-two-hum-buckers
7. These are lovely pickups. I've got a set of CS 60's in my '84 Tokai, so sweet sounding.GLWTS 😊

Nice one Clarky, glad you find a replacement - looks lovely
9. Circa 1986: 78' Fender Musicmaster & H/H V-S amp
10. After years of using lemon oil, I've switched to Musicnomad F-One fretboard conditioner. I think it's great.
11. My 2016 MIJ 'FSR' & '78 Mustangs

Mustangs!

I'm a recent convert to these great little monsters. I've acquired two in the last six months 😊 2016 (MIJ) 'Fender Special Run' & a '78 natural. Both love flats, got Chromes on the FSR & Labellas on the '78
13. CTS 250K Logarithmic (Audio) solid shaft would do you right Something like this https://www.allparts.uk.com/products/copy-of-9-volt-battery-terminals-rigid-plastic-2
14. Thanks for clarification..I read a review of these on Amazon, which said different, advising extra routing to cavity to accommodate. PM coming, cheers
15. Hi, could you please advise if these are 'standard' jazz size - i.e. bridge pickup wider than neck? Thanks
16. Boomstick Bottom Feeder Boomstick Audio Devices Bottom Feeder filter is the bass version of the acclaimed Mojo Hand Analogue Filter 442. Based on the same circuitry as the original DOD 440, but with a wider frequency range for bass guitar. A lovely 'bubbly' sounding filter, great for dub...and with a fuzz going into it is wicked too! Great review here from Bassfuzz.com https://www.youtube....h?v=wBLMXDYVK4Q I've built a clone now of this pedal, so the Boomstick is surplus to requirements. In good working condition, with velcro on base. £60 ono inc. P&P Cheers!

Gary bought my Tribal Planet gig bag. Came, collected & paid - no hassle straight forward transaction that we all want when selling. Nice chap - recommended. Cheers
18. I've got a black version of this bass, same year... It's the one I've kept, after recently selling all my collection. Something special about these basses. GLWTS
19. Tribal Planet (GSX5BK) Semi-Rigid Gig Bag In great condition. This is my spare one, so hasn't seen much action. However, I've absolutely hammered my other Tribal Planet gig bag over the last ten years & it's still going strong! I'm down to a one bass policy now, so this is surplus to requirements & cluttering up my studio. These gig bags have a tremendous reputation, though sadly no longer available. Adjustable internal padding & neck brace to suit design of bass, along with good sized pockets - I managed to carry around a class D amp, leads & bass stand in mine to gigs! May consider posting... Cheers!
