  1. A “double bass” cheat . Labella tapewounds .
  2. I’ve owned a couple and I agree, they’re pretty useless as acoustic instruments however I picked up an Aria FEB (second Gen the other day , it’s fretless so I’m hoping that with a decent set of flats (ordered) it will approach an upright in terms of tone. It was sub £300 so definitely worth a punt. . Here’s a few photos
  3. Less blurry photos !
  4. I think this the second generation, made in Japan which I was surprised by . A great buy... correction , Made in China of course
  5. Really pleasantly surprised, great bass for less than £300. My only observations were a fairly roughy finished ‘binding’ (I think it’s just a different coloured wood tbh) tuning keys a little flimsy and frail . Other than that a great sounding and playing bass. They’ve positioned the bridge further back which makes the 34” scale a lot more playable than some other full scale acoustics .nice low action, Preamp and pickup are decent , features a basic tuner . A good buy. MusicStreet are excellent and item was delivered to Ireland in 3 days.
  6. I’ve ordered an updated model of the bass , they appear to have moved the bridge back a bit making it less gangly looking . Expecting delivery tomorrow , will review for you folks 😀
  7. Just shifted an amp to offset my purchase so I’ve broken even at least this year 🤷‍♂️
  8. And I’m not going to get bored with it and sell it at a loss...this time I mean it 😂😂😂
  9. I’m OUT, just ordered an Aria acoustic bass ...I’m not sorry
  10. Hi there , can someone point me in the direction of a good beginner EUB. I’m thinking the Harley Benton or Stagg one. How about the gear4musoc one ? ive no idea what to watch out for though I think I’ll be needing fret dots
  11. I’m not sure full scale acoustic basses are such a good idea. I have a fender full Scale bass and it’s just too long when the bridge is in the middle of the body .
  12. Anyone ever try one of these ? They look like seriously good value for money
  13. Cheers, there seems to be zero interest though 🤷‍♂️. I’ve one bite in my hometown... hopefully it’ll find a home there. You’re right , great legendary British amps.
  14. Fully serviced AH500-7 Trace Elliot amp and foot switch. Contact me for shipping cost to UK. LOUD !!
  15. My AH-500-7 is an absolute beast. Sadly its sitting a bit unused lately, I use my CTM-100 and Spyder Ashdown Amps all the time now. I just think they have a warmer, more natural sound.
  16. In your opinion is an outboard eq/pre-amp just as effective?
  17. I was contemplating getting one of these for my passive Mayones Jabba4, I was a little concerned about installation, changing batteries etc. Does it go through batteries fast and was it straight forward to install..I wouldn't be the best solderer in the world.
  18. A buddy of mine has an original cutlass with the carbon fiber neck. It’s a cool bass but I think I prefer wood
  19. It’s the same with sandberg. The battered looking basic p bass model is more expensive than its MM loaded brother with all their bells and whistles 🤷‍♂️.
  20. They look like great basses...my only question is why so expensive...I mean its a passive P bass at the end of the day and its more expensive than a stingray...I just dont understand the bass guitar world sometimes.
  21. Wouldnt be like MusicMan to confuse their product lineup like MusicMan Sterling, Sterling Ray, Sub my MusicMan
  22. I’m using my ctm100 as a practice amp which is absolutely nuts, again while I get 5 minutes peace. It’s barely breathing at the volumes I play it at .
  23. I’m standing away from the gun. 😭. Just can’t justify a third Ashdown in the house. (I already have a ctm100) Great amp for the price tho.
  24. You’re a terrible man 😭
