Dokken 'Tooth & Nail' great album. SATD is (to me) a pretty good album, must be the Satanic edge and a song called 'Bastard'. Anyone hear that track 'Brandon' by the 'Crue......................................like WASP sang, B.A.D. .

I've liked what I've heard so far. So any good ? Or best avoided ? Reliable enough ? Was tempted by a PF500 but heard they can be a nightmare.

Was gonna go for one, think I may steer clear. Genz Benz shuttle may be in order then.

So is this a common problem with these heads ? Or just a dodgy batch ? These have been out for about 2 years now, I would like to think Ampeg would have the problems sorted by now.

PMT. Ordered an Ampeg PF500 from the PMT web site(most sites priced them@ £349,PMT price £329). So I parted with my hard earned cash. Got it today....................USED, no manual, power chord. If knew it was second hand I would've went elsewhere and paid £349 for a brand new unused amp.

Any views on the Ampeg PF 500 ? Heard some rumours they can be unreliable. In a fight,which one would win ? Mi bass 550 or PF 500 ?

I've got 2 old Traces. Love 'em,but , HEAVY. So the tones a bit lacking in these wee heads ?

Metallica's 'Master of Puppets', signed by Lars,Kirk,James,and Cliff(R.I.P).........got the sticky pass from the Belfast gig to go with it.

Heard that Ashdown was (kind of) an offshoot from Trace Elliot. Are these wee amps capable of getting close to the sound ? Or should I look for another light weight head ?

Hi, I downloaded this,and I'm going through a Behringer guitar link into my laptop. Everything seems o.k.,but I'm getting no volume and it appears as if its not recieving any signal from my bass. This is all new to me,so I bet its (hopefully)something simple. Any ideas what I'm missing ? Cheers, Paul

Greetings, A friend recently bought one of these bass's, and the bridge wasn't sitting right. On closer inspection, he found a piece of plastic had been placed underneath the bridge for some reason. Also,it appears the bridge screws have stripped out, any suggestions ? Could there be any long term problems ? Cheers, Paul.

All my bass's have fretFX,the older ones used AAA batteries the newer ones use CR's. Go for it mate,they're well handy and they come with a switch that gives you 2 options on how bright you want them. They're also pretty good on batteries. Heres a wee vid of them in action....... Yeah,Doomsday for the deceiver is a great album. I think Jason wrote alot of the stuff to.

I thought it was o.k.,but I think he should maybe get a singer in and just do backing vocals.
