1. Very nice work Sir! Loving the dovetail joint as well
2.
I´ve DIYed the Madamp BP1 a few month ago. The kit was incomplete, with some faults in the documentation, some parts didn´t fit and the mains tranny was defective. Not that great if you´re a beginner in DIY-land (which I am not).
Just out of curiosity, what was the problem with the mains tranny? Thanks Grahame
3. Just bought Darrens NV412. An absolute pleasure to deal with and kept me informed all the way. True to his word and would recommend him without hesitation. Many thanks Darren! Cheers Grahame
4. I just sold my DB680 to Juande and despite an issue due to shipping (which Juande dealt with most graciously), all went really well. Good communications and very prompt payment. Many thanks Juande for a pleasant transaction and I'm sure you'll enjoy the Aggie! Cheers Grahame

Chris bought my CA9 power amp. Even though there were issues with the amp after shipping, he remained courteous and a pleasure to deal with. This is the second deal I've done with him and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anybody. Many thanks Chris, enjoy the power Cheers Grahame
6. Just sold my Trace Twinvalve to André and again he was a real Gent and a pleasure to deal with. Deal with this Guy in complete confidence!
7. Careful Mate, you'll make me want to keep it! Thanks for your info!
8. Ashley just bought my GK 700RB II and I found him to be a thoroughly pleasant fella and true to his word every step of the way. Thanks Ashley, enjoy the amp! Cheers Grahame
9. Next item for your delectation Ladies and Gentlemen is my Trace Twinvalve. Rather tidy condition but has one of the slider tips missing. Other than that and a slight hissing it's a good'un. 115 Watt from two 6550's I really don't want this to go but I've far too much stuff that's not getting used...... I'm looking for £350 including UPS overnight delivery. Cheers Grahame
10. Up for grabs is my SVP Pro Blackface preamp. A little hissy with the treble up and some rackrash top and bottom but otherwise no issues and sounds the bomb. Only selling because I must thin the herd a little (Lot!)...... I'm looking for £280 including overnight delivery with UPS. Cheers Grahame
11. Yet another casualty of 'The Big Cull' is the GK 700RB II. Spec's - • 480 watts (4 ohms) plus 50w Horn bi-amp system • Active 4-band EQ • Adjustable contour, presence & 4/5 string voicing • Boost (valve effect) • Separate tweeter & woofer volume controls • Effects loop & tuner out with mute • XLR out with level, ground lift & pre/post switch • Speakon & 1/4″ outputs • 19×3.5×8 (2 space) • 19.5 lbs. A surprisingly light amp (IMO) with no issues. Few light scratches on top but that's about it. Looking for £260 including overnight delivery with UPS. Cheers Grahame
12. I think Barry's amp kits are an excellent way to get into valve amp building! The first amp I built was the SE-5a kit which was the forerunner to the N5X 5W and is a cracking little amp The instructions are very clear with good photo's and if you follow them to the letter you should be fine. If you should run into any problems you can always contact Barry himself for advice. What I would say is, if you haven't already got one, lay your hands on a good multimeter and wherever possible check EVERY component before assembling to ensure you have the right part in the right place. Making a headbox isn't too tricky and doesn't need to complex at all Oh, and read the safety blurb and then read it again, big voltages floating around in these things - even the small ones!
13. It's got so much headroom I never bumped my head and I'm 6'4"!
14. Absolutely, proper RMS watts. None of this 'Peak output' gonads!
15. Okay this is the start of a fairly hefty clearout of stuff that just isn't getting used. Hefty is the word here as up for grabs is my Crest CA9 power amp. It does weigh a few pounds, including Gator Pro moulded case 55 of them to be precise - that's 25kg for you whippersnappers! Most of the weight is down to the epic power transformer which allows this beasty to effortlessly deliver massive gobs of power. I'm looking for £470 including the case and overnight courier with UPS. Cheers Grahame
16. Sorry I don't get all this crap about valve heads overhanging the sides of cabs. The solution's quite obvious as I see it....
