More likely to be a Marathon 6 string bass. It will only be a baritone guitar if the neck is standard guitar width.
Plus the fact it says "Marathon" on the scratchplate...

I used to have the fretless version of this, they are pretty rare. Try and find a New Order covers band to flog it to!

Nifty! Good work that man!

Measure twice, measure twice again then cut. Then kick yourself……
Then spend some time removing LEDs and fit correctly!!!
Oh yeah, just spotted it. I feel your pain, man!

First Aid Kit were good - and she had a nice collection of Mustang basses 😉

St. Vincent. That's more like it. Is that a B.C. Rich bass? Looks and sounds cool!

Just tuned in.
Sam Fender. Crowd love a good singalong. Quite dull musically.
Anyone spotted anything good yet?

As a small person, I found the 35" scale quite a stretch in the lower positions, but the tone was Fantastic . The neck was quite chunky, but I'm convinced it contributed to the great tone. And this was only the Legend model.

Agreed. That Serek B90 at the bridge sounds great, the scale seems to lessen the honk and promote more burp. Suffice to say I’ve been checking out the cost of one - $175 plus shipping and tax; ouch!
Oof! Indeed!

Some lovely sounds on those clips! Thanks for that!

Pretty sure Tina Weymouth had a significant mod to her bass.

If you wished to do a surface mount version, I'd be happy to solder the components for them in my lunchtimes

A very handsome bass! Good work by your pal!

IIRC the Corn Dolly was the venue for the second ever gig I went to - Bedford Prog Rockers "Spring Offensive" some time in early 1977.
I just had a memory pop into my head. I'm pretty sure an old Laney valve head I owned had Spring Offensive painted on it...

I was their tour manager for the last year. Recently stepped down because of other touring commitments. Lovely bunch and all wonderful players!
Very cool indeed! Respect!

I love side leds. Not a fan of blue but other colours. AFAIK though, I don't think there are any that you can't turn off.
I think all bases fitted with leds let you turn them off. Not so much with display monitors

Yay, we all love a happy ending!

I've worked with Lyndon a lot over the last year. Absolutely wonderful guy and insanely talented. Currently playing keys for Go West.
Sounds interesting, in what capacity?

We're getting a bit off-topic here but my pet peeve is putting bright blue LEDs into EVERYTHING. You can't buy a phone charger or a USB hub these days without it lighting up a dark room, or burning small dots into your retina if they're constantly in your field of vision.
And then I have seen people/manufacturers actually installing LEDs as markers / decoration in the bass neck... 🤮
Agreed, one of my pet peeves too. Having said that, my Sei has blue side leds, specified by the previous owner. My monitors at work have yellow tape over the blue leds.

Ah thanks for the update. My mum (also now sadly passed) was in touch with Mark Sugden and had told me it was happening.
I'll look out for it. 👍
Edit - I just found this interview with Roger Hillier, very interesting!
Great read, thanks for posting. Can hear Roger's voice when reading it.
