So I've been fortunate enough to come into some money I wasn't expecting. I need to fix the car, put some money away for holiday and the kids bedrooms could do with redecorating. So I've decided I need another bass instead. Years ago I played a Sandberg, not sure of the model but I liked it. Tempted by a California VM5 or similar. Anybody got one and can tell my what it's like? Or anyone selling one? Basses I've got already: Musicman SUB (USA), Warwick Thumb BO 5 and a MIM Fender jazz Deluxe 5. I like the idea of having something with a P pickup on it to get a different sound to what I've already got. Faveourite style to play is funk/soul but currently doing most of my gigging in a Mod band so something with a bit more 'bite' would probably be good. Any recommendations? Cheers, J.

Thanks guys, it is just a volume knob I need, as apposed to a full pot. I'll have a look in the market place. Checked Thomann this morning and it defienlty said 30 euros for delivery!

Sorry if this has been posted before! Had a look online and Thomann sell loads of spares but the shipping is 30 euros, for a £5 volume knob... Anyone know of any UK distributors where I can get spares from? Cheers, J.

Thanks for all of the replies folks. I'm in Doncaster. I'll try switching it to passive and changing the battery tomorrow, if that doesn't work I'll try a different jack socket. Cheers, J.

Afternoon all, I've been given a Warwick Streamer LX that's seen better days. There is no sound coming out of it, at all, not even a hum or crackle. I've had the back off and from visual inspection, most of the soldering joints look OK and I can't see anything out of place. I am no expert beyond soldering the wires back onto the jack socket so any advice would be greatly appreciated. It's an active bass too with a battery. Cheers, J.

Morning all, I've got a MIM Jazz deluxe and was talking to a chap who'd upgraded his pick ups to a set of Seymour Duncan's and said that they were really good! Don't know much about em apart from the name so thought I'd ask others on here who have a set to see what's what! Thanks in advance, J.

Evening/morning, Just got in from a gig and half way through I ended up switching from my jazz to my G&L L2500 as if just sounded rubbish! I've noticed recently that some days it sounds amazing but others it really doesn't, depends on where I'm playing it but it tends to get worse he more I turn it up?! It's a MIM jazz deluxe going through a TC Electronics RH750 into a Barefaced Midget. It almost sounds like the battery has run out but I only changed it recnetly!
