While fiddling with a recoding device, I once placed a glass of wine on my 1966 Fender and the glass (or more likely the detergent) caused a ring stain on the finish of the bass. Sometimes you just couldn’t explain these things to people.

Well done to Reverb for picking up on this stuff. I've seen eBay listings stay up for days/weeks even though they're clearly fakes.

This month I’ve done 7 which is reasonable. I think about 5 per month is average.

Ok, so I got the measuring tape out and this is going to be a medium scale job as there’s through body stringing. Ordered.

You should be fine on the tickets. Unless you’ve got one on the windscreen we’ve not had one. We parked on a “load in” bay for the evening numerous times and all been OK. Was the No entry the right hand turn onto the road leading up to the bridge? There’s no camera there so you’ll be ok!

Just picked up one of these. Will regular shortscales (specifically D’addario chromd flats) fit? I know Mustangs actually need medium length strings because of the through body construction. Just want to check these will fit well.

They’re ok! Fix a problem I don’t have. Personally, if you want to DB sound in a smaller package look out for a David Gage EB. I was selling one but I’ve got someone coming to buy it tomorrow.

This was the Hobgoblin on Gloucester Road. I didn’t know they did music but have booked us for a monthly residency. So that’s good. We got £180 (between 3) a £30 bar tab and the offer of free food (can’t eat a big meal before a gig).

Not sure if you can see it but the Elf powered me at this DB gig yesterday. The amp needed some tweaking and benefitted from the EBS EQ pedal but overall it’s an incredible thing. I had concerns it wouldn’t do a DB gig but space on the stage necessitated it. Absolutely incredible. One question for the experts. Have you ever mounted it on a pedal board? Would that be safe?

Precariously placed double bass. Was a good gig at a great Bristol pub. Brings my total weeks gig earnings to £500. Feel like a pro!

Would have asked for a raise probably…
