1. 5 string G+L L2500 tribute bass This had "sold" however the very polite buyer disappeared off the radar so its back available with a price drop. £300 Long scale Maple Neck, Rosewood Fretboard 21 Frets Nut width: 44.5 mm Pickups: 2x humbucker Bass is cosmetically in very good condition, haven't used it much at all and don't play 5 Strings anymore so it needs a new home. **Electronics need some attention as the active function has stopped working recently 3 switches - neck/ both/ bridge pickup, parallel/ humbucking, passive /active/ treble boost Collection from North London Thanks!
2. Just to say that I bought a bass from Nemo and it arrived in fantastic condition, he really takes care of his instruments. Buy with absolute confidence! Hope you get it sold quickly
3. PM's replied, pickups are all thats left now! £17 postage incuded. Cheers, Bundacious
4. Original pickups from a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz bass available. [s] [*]Pups: Duncan designed jazz pickups. These are really quite aggressive and give an excellent jazz sound. - £15 inc posting[/s] [s][*]Bridge/Chrome strap buttons/Neckplate/Pickguard screws etc: Standard 4-Saddle effort - £5 inc posting [/s] [s][*]Tuners: Standard Open-Gear Tuners[/s] All items are in great condition, I modified the bass as soon I got it new. Cheers for looking, Bundacious
5. Filthy, filthy, filthy funk music. Love it. I'm going to call my kids Larry and Graham.
6. Zing! Too much time spent in Talkbass apparrently, please excuse my ignorance
7. Hi, I've actually just done the very thing, had the upgraded bass for a week now. The Duncan pickups are nice enough, but with the 84's added there is just so much more presence and fullness to the tone, and you can dial in sounds far more accurately. I haven't gigged it properly yet but will be having a full rehearsal tonight so will take it along and give it a burn through an 8 x 10. I wouldn't particularly say that the Wizards add a lot more grind to the sound as the Duncs are pretty aggressive but they are so much more in control now with a nicer output. Also upgraded my bridge to a Gotoh 201(black) which improves things sonically as well as cosmetically. Go for the 84's! Excellent pickups and a good local(British) company. Mine arrived in super quick time from Wales to Scotland. (This should be in the pickups section!)
8. This is from Stop Making Sense isn't it? I'd also like to throw my weight behind the "Tina was a fox/great bassist" group, however in this video I'm not too keen on the shapeless grey sack that she's wearing. Terrifying...
9. At this rate the only thing we'll get to see on youTube is corporate-approved music and idiots setting their bodily hair on fire. Admittedly it can be funny but of absolutely no use to people like us who are looking to learn a quick bass chop or ogle at some unnecessarily flash playing. Hope Marlowe can get back up and running soon!
10. Remarkably good deal here, not sure why theres so little interest! Warwicks seem to be getting less love by the day which is strange really given that basses like this have so many tonal options. Looks sweet as a biscuit too, if I was looking for a backup to my SS2 I'd be all over this.
11. Very nice! Definitely an amp though. Can't mistake it for anything else.....
12. I'd make a shout for Betty Davis, her first couple of albums are superb. Larry Graham on bass duties and theres a lot of solid, repeated, simple(ish) bass grooves going on there. A lot of the time with Sly/Graham Central Station I feel he's a bit uber but he cuts it back with Betty. Also, its some of the filthiest music around. Delicious!
13. Very nice indeed..... What kind of price are you looking for?
14. I absolutely admire his technical skill and musical vision which is why I listen to him. Its more for my learning benefit though, in terms of actual enjoyment give me some Larry Graham or George Porter Jr every time.
15. Crikey, not the most subtle of colour schemes. Would maybe look good on a car but I'd probably not have it on my bass
16. Interesting scheme, if it goes ahead I'm definitely keen. My life has never been the same after I sold my 1st Thumb.....
17.
bloody hell guys... have you seen the original date?
Well observed mate, somebodies been out with the shovel to dig up the past.... and here was me considering the bass too
18. THIS PEDAL HAS NOW BEEN SOLD, THANKS FOR ALL THE INTEREST!!! Hi folks, Got a severely under-used Boss ODB3 Overdrive pedal for sale here, had it for a while, its not getting any time with my current band projects but its a splendid pedal with a lot of usable sounds, the most obvious being a Flea tone from the start of "Around The World" Pedal settings: LEVEL EQ(Bass/Treble stacked) BALANCE GAIN - BOSS pedal so its built like a brick, has a few minor dings on it from stage use, nothing I can capture on my phone camera - Un-boxed and with no instructions sadly - Its bright and shiny yellow so easy to find on stage/in thick fog
