1. If you google the number you get: Fax: 01516370974 Web: www.woodstreetstudios.co.uk Email: [email protected] The website has actually now changed the fax number to a mobile number, but if you ever needed to find him
2. It's an Easter Bump! I'm also open to trades now, so if anyone has anything interesting!
3. Hi All. Price now dropped to £750. I'll also stick it on ebay so keep an eye out. Cheers, Stu.
4. There are the ebay bidders who keep bidding and bidding until they win. I sold an amp to a guy in Ireland for £185, and he later admitted that he could have bought it new from his local music shop for £149, but 'got carried away'. Last minute bidding stops the ebay bid-addicts going mad!
5.
Beautiful bass there my friend. I too like dings, the first one is gutting, then after that you can chill. I did a gig last year where some pissed knobhead knocked into my ACG, whilst on its stand. It started to rock forward but our guitarist was on stage (club floor) fannying around with his board settings (for a change) and caught it before it hit the deck. That's the only bass out of my collection that doesn't have any marks what so ever.
I bought my Warwick Jazzman brand new - it lasted one gig until it was dinged on the front. The daft guitarist turned his guitar head into the body of the bass. 8 years later and it's still the worst bit of damage on the bass! He was not thanked!
6. Hi All! I'm selling my MusicMan Stingray 5-string 3EQ bass. As you can see it's a beautiful sunburst finish with a white scratchplate. Everything on it is as it should be - it was set-up professionally about 20 playing-hours ago. There are a few minor knocks which I've tried to show on the pictures. In total there are about 6 minor knocks on the body, and one on the neck, each of which is only around half a centimeter. Other than these it's in great condition. Also included with the bass is a near-new Hiscox flightcase. I'm looking for £800 (edit - now £750). I'm not really after any trades as I need to scale down my current stock, but if you've got something interesting it may get my gas-bags going! Thanks for checking it out. Comments are more than welcome. Cheers, Stu. 7. If I bought my car new at retail it would have been £20k. It doesn't mean my pile of crap is worth that now! Try about 10% of the price!
8. I sold my S1 5-string in a similar (excellent) condition a couple of weeks back for £650 so the price is right! I did offer international postage though, and it went to a gentleman in Italy!
9. It now has a nice new home. Many thanks Stu for an excellent bass
10. It's only profit if he manages to sell it at that price! Just out of interest what did you sell it for? No chance you have a 5-string as well??
11. It may help if you supply the following: What operating system you are using (e.g. XP, Vista, OSX 10.5.1 etc) What browser (IE, Firefox etc etc) Your setup (home, small network, office network, wireless, public, etc) That will probably do for a start. Stu.
12. Lots of people have far too much money (although given the credit crunch maybe a few less now!). If I had a few million in the bank this would make a very nice conversation piece. It at least makes a nice change to have letters of authenticity rather than the usual 'belonged to John Entwistle's late mother's pet budgie etc. etc."
13. I have got an Eden Metro head. It's the same as the combo version but custom mounted separately. Let me know if you want more pictures etc. I've also got an Eden 210XLT. I'd be interested in a swap if the offer's right.
14.
There's still no way four 8 ohm speakers can be arranged to give 4 ohms. Two, eight or thirty two ohms, that's your choice.
Actually you can, but it's not really recommended. You simply add a circuit into the 4 ohm selector so that extra resistors are added in parallel. The effect is that you have 8 drivers (4 real and 4 fake), but you lose half your power on the fakes! Also you need decent resistors as most will just burn out. For anyone planning it - don't do it! Stu.
15. Sold pending the usual. Many thanks to all (particularly biro)!
16.
MB1. On Hire from Music Bank?..........
Not any more!
17. I'm watching. Can't resist a bit of Trace gear!
18.
Ahh something tells me this might sound rather nice with my 7 string??
7 strings? We bass players are simple folk. If guitarists knew we could play 7 strings all hell would break loose! Burn it quick!
19. I've got the metro amp section mounted separately so it's just a head unit. It was bought from eden as an amp section standalone by a fellow basschatter. If you really want the eden sound but without the weight you could split it. I may consider a swap, and luckily I'm in Essex!
20.
Don't sweat it, I reckon you've good reason to harbour suspicions...
If you check the feedback carefully the negative feedback is from an employee of ebay. His comment is that he shill bid from a linked account. From the comments above it seems he's not afraid of a good hiking of the the price. He does have a good bit of gear on ebay from time to time though, but it does always seem to go for top dollar! If you want the kit, and you're prepared for him to manipulate the price a bit, then you may get what you want. You may have to sell your house though!
21. and a serious custodial offense to add a fake decal.
22.
bump for a great bass. I was going to bid on one exactly like this on eBay a few years ago - and I miscalculated the finish time and missed it! If I didn't have my S2 classic I would grab it myself.
If you want a swap
23.
very individual bass but defianetly not worth the money http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Electric-BASS-...1QQcmdZViewItem
I had a mate do this to a lead guitar I had once. He borrowed it and said he would 'tinker' with it. I nearly wrapped it round his head. If it had been a bass he would have been never walked the same again!
