1. Cheers dude, i'll try it with my pedal board power supply when i get in the practice room. The hum is very loud though, not just in the background. It is unuasble in the state that it is in, that's why i think it's the pedal. I'm takin it to the guitar shop tomorrow to get looked at
2. My favourite Jaco stuff is when he doesn't over-play or shred. I can dig it baby or a remark you made, that's the sh1t
3. Have a snip with sharp scissors? Sometimes the new leather is so stiff that it needs "persuading" with some pliers to make it more, erm pliable. Had to do this with a strap my missus bought me last christmas. Once i was able to get the nut on i used a spanner and ratchet to tighten it. Still on a year later. Sometimes a foolish ham-fisted approach is the best way!
4. Good stuff edd, glad you're enjoying it! Makes me remember when i first downsized to my super-loud little rig, i had to keep looking behind me to make sure someone hadn't added another couple of cabs it was so loud... Sigh.....
5. I have a pedal which has a very loud hum when i use it with a 9v power supply. It's fine when i disconnect the adapter lead, but hums loudly and gets worse when the effect is on. It's an EBS multidrive. I had a look on the pinned topic and on other threads but found nothing i thought would fix it. Tried it with different basses, power packs, used the adapters with other pedals to rule them out, changed leads (it still hums loudly when the input is not connected) Any ideas? The guy who sold it didn't use it off mains and said it might be something to do with the phantom power EBS use (where you can power your pedals from an EBS amp via the jack lead). The pedal sounds ace otherwise so seems disappointing to have to return it Cheers for any info Steve
6.
Shadows and Light for me is a bit difficult to watch, too many edits of wolves and nonsense! The playing is great though!
Aye, and when they show rubbish tape over the awesome playing bits, when all you really want to see is the musicians, not Joni Mitchell prancing around in a daft coat or cut scenes from casinos and stuff
7. From the Shadows and Light gig i think. There's some awesome songs on that. Check Dry Cleaner from Des Moines, that's ace!
8. I sent a Warwick to Poland over a year ago, porcel farce quoted me £68, when i came to pay they charged me £46. Score!

Mostly to show off the bulge in my trousers.

Or to hide the groinal area when wearing pale jeans and having a last minute piss. 12.
The Belcat Delay is surprisingly good, too. I also used to have the Biyang fuzz pedal - it's basically a Big Muff with some interesting clipping mods - you can change one pair of diodes for LEDs with a switch.
Quite interested in getting one of the fuzz pedals, not seen em before. Like this?: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FZ7-FUZZ-Three-Mode-...%3A1|240%3A1318 Do they handle the lows well? I'm getting a bit annoyed with my noisy big muff!
13.
The thing with Nathan East from what I've read is that he likes to take advantage of his high profile by taking the mickey and blagging loads of free stuff.
Disgusting behaviour! I would never do that!
14. Just bought yer ep after listenin to the the myspace tracks. Now THAT is how a bass should sound!
15. I recall a link to a Billy Sheehan vid from another thread in which he states that the bass he uses is the off the shelf signature model, no special gubbins or woods, exactly what you'd get if you bought one. Has to be applauded, even if he is a scientologist
16. I've just found out wilkos do decent sticky-backed velcro, looked last night and it's £1.99 for 1m of both sides. I use standard stuff from ebay and it holds really well as long as the underside of the pedal is clean. Another trick i use with boss pedals is to stick 2 strips of velcro between the rubber. You still get purchase on the velcro but can use it out of the pedalboard too. Good if you want to sell the pedal later! On my wah (jim dunlop) i took the battery cover off and reversed the backplate, sticking the velcro to the underside instead of mucking up the back cover. Oh yeah, some little strips of standard velcro to hold your power leads in place. I can send you some if you like, i've got loads at home. Also (RE the last question) i assume (probably wrong then!) that any 9v cable will fit? I use different ones with my Dinosaur power pack and they're fine. If you find some cheaper ones let me know! Diago also do adapter cables for weirder power/jack requirements if needs be
17.
its like right near wigan lol iv only seen one bass chatter that lives near me everyone else is from down south lol
Oi i'm in Blackpool (well, just outside Blackpool in a completely non-scum area!)
18. Prices dropped and available again because of local timewaster!
19. Haha, sorry dudes. About as appealing as a left-handed stepson. Better?
20.
and the bass is hideous.
+1 About as appealing as a ginger stepson..........
21. I took up classical guitar as a fun hobby, really enjoyed it but am not consistent enough to play it live. Too much intricate work for my clumsy fat fingers! So i guess you could say i'm a competent bass player turned failed guitarist!
22. BUMP for a bargain, just had to back out of this deal and it's a crazy price for an immense head.
23.
bummer! just as my cabs were being sold... andy
See if this guy's cab is still available: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...l=times+is+hard £300? Winner!
24.
Aargh! I want an XO PolyChorus. And an XO Deluxe Memory Man. That would make the EHX range perfect. Do these new models run off 9V? My big problem with a lot of old EHX pedals is that you need a different power supply for each one.
Diago do leads for most pedals including the EHX pedals with the tiny jacks and different power requirements (usa big muff, 18v and black big muff etc.). Not cheap but convenient. I guess you could have some made up? My local electronics shop does stuff like that as i know a guy who works there, they don't like doin it though as it's not worth the mate's rate's i pay em!
25. Dibs please! Pm'ed
