  1. Closing this as seems little interest and GAS is getting the better of the recipients of the CAPO

So I’ve somehow ended up with 5 short scales but they are great basses for travel. All of mine fit in guitar bags.

    Getting this Friday

    This is for sale

This is no bad thing, I didn’t like a fodera I tried recently for the same neck finish.

    Colour is 😍

  3. So I spend most of my time outside of the U.K. and with travelling I’ve fallen in love with shortscale fenders (in guitar gigbag) for this purpose.

As such went a bit nuts. I’m a sucker for basses with matching headstocks. This is the sonic blue colour but it is greener than shots online would have you believe but not quite surf green.

So this is my current 5th shortscale and I tried it for the first time last night.

Basically it needs new strings (I can include some unopened La Bellas for £50) a setup and a neck shin and for me once all of this is done it still won’t have the really thick varnish of the Vintage Modified Squiers and my Rickenbacker that I love. So that’s my personal preference and before I go any further I wonder if this might be perfect for someone who likes the mustang but doesn’t like the thick vintage gloss on the neck, this is probably closer to my JMJ in feel.

I got it from the original owner who bought it in 1997, it has 1 chip on the headstock shown on the picture and some very small hairline cracks around the heel. I’d put it about 8/9 out of 10 condition.

So I’m looking at moving this on for what I paid before I go to the effort of (what is an hours work for someone)

Everything works as it should and the pickup is very full and balanced (and I assume far better than the strat pickup the fender musicmasters came with).

It will come with a Thomann Beat bass gig bag which fits perfectly.

I can ship at buyers expense but I’d prefer collection so you can see and confirm condition and ensure you’re happy with everything.

There was in fact a Fender Precision Bass Junior in production at some point, if memory serves me right produced in Mexico, though that one featured a just 28.6" scale length, and it is the main inspiration for the current production Squier Mini P Bass

Video of Joe Dart playing one.

Thats cool, for me the preamps and dirt are the bare minimum for the band, not really a calling for anything else yet.

I really enjoyed the GT1000core but couldn't quite get a tone I was happy with for my base bass sound, it'd have been perfect for this kind of exploratory stuff though. Still leaning towards the Mod Dwarf for way more flexibility, you can do some very unique stuff with it.

Got a Rockboard 2.1 and Cioks 4 that i think I'll repurposed to create a little creative add-on pedalboard. Maybe grab some modulation cheap pedals and the Dwarf and see what kind of weird noises I can make.

    Did you know these exist?

  6. Fits tightly in the GruvGear Guitar Kapsulite

I couldn’t find the Kapsulite Plus which has wheels, the website shows that would be too small.

But I’ve got a Kapsule waiting for me in the US which I’m hoping will be my 1 bag travel solution for long trips.

I’ll be doing several flights with this in the hold over the next few months.

The Thomann Beatle Bass bag was great and super light but it’s a nightmare carrying on on each flight. Even when you’ve got it on, finding space for it and then people dumping suitcases on top of it. Much much easier just to check and this was the only thing I could get in Colombia (Mono was more expensive and bigger). This is shorter but wider, obviously heavier but looks really sleek so overall looks more compact.

Will see how it stands up to my next several flights.

Not sure what I’m going to do when I buy a full scale bass again 😬

(Currently have a Gruv Gear Edge, Kapsulite, Kapsule. All guitar models and each with a Mustang in them)

Ohhh, what kind of OCTABVRE is it? Own design or some kind of special layout by Spencer himself? And what does the bi-fet, it popped up here and there, and I’m a bit hooked. I love the BECOS btw!!! 🤩

Bi Fet is one of the best pedals ever made, roll the tone off and it’s a huge bass boost I mean HUGE, every setting is really music.

I really need to stop selling them

Well it's here... seems pretty good at the moment, I've not had a chance to run it for any length of time yet -- had a quick blast in the garage and it seems to work fine. I'll report back after the first gig or two. This is it, velcro'd into place under my board.

@tayste_2000 I couldn't tell you if it'd fit a PT nano or not, as I don't have one... if you give me the critical dimensions, I can measure it up?

I think the cables would need swapping for right angle versions but

     3.8125" (3 13/16")/96.8375mm space between the rails.
