Laura Lee from Khruangbin uses an SX Jazz Bass live and has done from start. Don’t know if it is modded in any way.
Given their increasing popularity in the past few years I wonder if Fender have ever been in touch 🤔
It has dimarzio pickups in it.
Currently it looks to have been modded to dual stacked knobs like the flea bass (vol/tone vol/tone)
But she sounds incredible, one of my favourite bass tones.

Good to know, thank you. I figured that would be the case

Since asking I’ve realised it doesn’t really matter as I can just use either Mighty Plug as an interface with my iPad and use all the fun fx I have loaded there.
But I am still interested to know if it would be possible.

Was wondering due to having limited experience with IRs but can you get any with effects on them to make up for the lack of an effect on a particular pedal.
Specifically I was looking at https://www.nuxefx.com/mightyplugpro.html which looks like a great upgrade to my mp2 but it still doesn’t have an octaver, just 5 different choruses 🙄 but you can load in IRs so I was wondering if you can get IRs that are recreating speaker cabs but with an effect on them?

so I'm considering replacing this for something else in the same enclosure width - not sure what yet; probably a C4 or a Catalinbread CSIDMAN (if I can find one!).

Yeah I’d like a pawn shop although I’m not sure the sound is ‘me’ - but obviously I need to complete the collection 😂 its true they seem quite rare in the UK. There was one in Germany for £700 ish recently
I paid £850 for mine from a PMT when on tour recently.
First one @AndyTravissold me brand new in Dawsons when they were released for what must have been less than £500 and I remember struggling to shift it on here for like £400.
But glad to have one again and white is nicer than the red I had.
Video I’ve got old rounds on it, going into a Groove Tubes Ditto DI. Now it’s got flats on it but when I plug it in I need to take at least 9db off as it’s the hottest bass I own by a long way.
Currently I’m travelling a lot and it’s my only bass with me, inside a Gruv Gear Edge that goes in an SKB Bass Safe. I’ve got a radial stagebug, my iems, NUX MP-2 and a behringer p2 in the bag and I didn’t know it was possible to play bass with so little 😅

Yeah it sounds fantastic. I think the 'proper' P pickup gives it a stronger fundamental and a fuller P sound, whereas the Mustang P pickup sounds a bit more like a Jazz bass front pickup sort of P sound, if you get what I mean.
I suppose back in the 70s people were less precious about early Fenders so they just had at it - fair enough if you ask me; certainly the rear pickup on this gives the bass a really growly sound.
That said I'm definitely now looking at other variations on the Mustang; Pawn Shop etc - I mean I should really have at least one of each, and I know you'll agree
Love my Pawn Shop model (2nd one I've owned, never should have sold the first)

Oh right, could have sworn you typed Rocco 😉
Where did you see him using the Euna may I ask?

Yeah I've seen these on quite a few boards lately, from Emily Harpist to guitar players!
Didn't realise Rocco used one though, was this seen on his board for the Yussef Dayes Experience? I struggled to make out anything he was using on the board (but heard his usual oc2 and chorus tones) -
Pino, not Rocco 😉

Pino Palladino was recently spotted using this.

Not quite what you’re looking for though with the way the loop behaves.

Looking for a quick sale, reflected in the price. No box, great condition barely used.
More details available here: https://www.fishman.com/portfolio/platinum-pro-eq-di-analog-preamp/
Basically been travelling a lot the last few months and it's too big to fit into my very small allowance of items. I can't see when I'll next use it.
Would consider part ex for a Radial Stagebug SB-1 or SB-2 and a Polytune Unitune

To confirm this price is NOT shipped, that will cost a WHOLE £15 extra.

Any recommendations for gig bags for short scale basses? Fender Mustang in particular. I know it’ll fit into a standard size bag, but that takes away the ability to stash the bass out of sight in the boot of my car.
Suggestions welcome.I use the Gruvgear Edge for Guitar and it just fits it, it was the highest quality small case I could find.

Bargain that Ste.
lovely looking thing.
Well after a quick easy sale before I get the tone knob fixed and actually bond with it

1 knob (what could be easier) GE based dirty boost.
More information here: https://www.wrenandcuff.com/products/phat-phuk-b
I use this to get a more Motown esq sound, but as I'm so Bass - Di these days it just sits in a box with all the other toys, though I did use it to great effect on a full session just driving a Tube DI (Also for sale) a bit harder.
Depending on what you do with the trim pot it can get quite gritty but nothing past light overdrive, it's a great always on pedal which is good because the true bypass has quite a pop on this one (or I'm very used to buffered switches now).
Has a chip on the bottom right, comes with box.

Great condition and includes the original box (only covered in tape), still has the battery door and a 9v adaptor.
Bought because of the following
https://www.premierguitar.com/artists/bass-pedal-wars
DOD FX10 Bi-FET Preamp
Hischke: I’m going with the DOD FX10 Bi-FET Preamp. I think it was made in the late ’80s or early ’90s. I don’t know its secret, but psychologically speaking, it does the thing that a lot of guitar players get out of a Klon preamp pedal. It’s a subtle boost with a tone knob. You can turn the tone down for a really deep but focused and dense tone. It cuts through, but under the mix. How would you describe it, Juan?
Alderete: It was designed for acoustic guitars. It has such clarity, but it also has that sweet spot for the sound of fingers hitting the strings like on an acoustic guitar. That pick was very strategic.
Hischke: I also like it because it’s simple. It’s one of those pedals that you don’t have to think about. I have it on every board now in case I need it for a boost, or a lead where you put the treble up for more presence.
Alderete: And thank you for just driving the price up! [Laughs.]
Hischke: I know, I know. Maybe someone will make a clone. They’re really cheap now, so we better get on it. When is this going online? [Laughs.]
Basically, other than being a great crystal clear boost and line driver, if you roll the tone off it is a HUGE bass boost, like huge subby vibrate the room bass boost. Tamer and more usable I've found than things like the Meatbox and far more natural and organic sounding than anything like that or an octaver.

I see on the site it says it has bass effects and amps but I can't see them in the manual.
Anyone got a solid list of the bass stuff?
