Matamp 8x10, mine was the 2nd one made, technically the first one made to be sold and they figured it would sound cool, not sure how many others they have called this
Shipping was £30, but i dunno where the other £20 came from. I'm not grudging it though, i would've paid several hundred quid more.
Thinking about it it might be the piping as that does take a great deal more effort to do.
But I guess they gave you the full price before they built anything and you agreed
Yeah nothing leaves the Matamp factory without you playing first to confirm you are happy with it.
Monz and Butler's are voiced more vintage as in vintage by default, mine and Umcoo's is very what you put in you get out, use a vintage tube amp get a vintage sound, use a hifi head get a hifi sound.
Also now available in weed tolex
That is fab. I take it these cabs are special order? What's the lead time like? Are they 'vintage' voiced?
Sorry for all the questions but that cab has got my juices flowing.
I ordered mine Monday it was built by about Thursday I collected it Sunday
You're kidding right? Having got Matamp stuff I play with my back to the audience and just stare at the cabs, my 2x12 rig sat in my lounge for hours and it kept drawing my attention away from the TV
4 4ohm loads without messing with parallel cables, so in our case an 8x10, 2 4x10's and 2 2x12's and thats without then hooking up other amps and going even bigger
I did pretty much my entire first album with this bass, I'm just not a fan of green but believe me this bass is AMAZING, the tonal options are second to none.
Personally I put Valenti's up there with USA Laklands and Sadowskys in terms of quality
Yeah I got mine so it's 4 and 16ohms you just have to request it upon ordering, Jeff doesn't read minds, but I use tube amps so some of my vintage amps are 16 and 8 ohms only and they all put the same wattage out regardless of impedance, you could always get a series cable from OBBM to run two 4ohm cabs at 8ohms
You can have Celestion or Eminence, the Emincence are £50 more expensive and add about 10kg's to the cab but they are seriously bassy as anyone at the Newcastle Bass Bass can atest.
I'm not sure of the models on each I don't go into that stuff, I plug in an if it sounds good then it's good I don't need a specs sheet to tell me otherwise.
Very nice, I like the piping I would have got some if I had done it on any of my other cabs.
These cabs are soo good, I'm yet to try 2 together though I need Umcoo to come to mine should have really done it while we were at Matamp together
You should come to me in Stockport and try my Matamp 2x12 they are only £350 brand new and have way more sound coming out of them than a single Aggie does.
Also this gives me another opportunity to post a pic of my small rig again
