  1. Wholeheartedly agree Very very nice basses
  2. I’m still at work now...... Say no more!
  3. That’s because Fender being threatened by their quality actively rung up shops and retailers and said unless they stop stocking Sandberg, they wouldn’t send Fenders to them. Sandberg now have their own shape so can no longer really be called a clone unless the BB Yamaha range is also a clone. The fact is the QC and customer service I way above what Fender offers, that’s why they are still going 30 years later
  4. Compression on amp - yes why not and some very good amps have them inbuilt, compression onboard a bass - cant see the point at all. If it was that easy to get a tiny unit it would be done by now, Orifin Effects took a fair amount of time to miniaturise the Urei1176. About it the smallest I have seen is the TC Spectracomp - maybe just rout a hole and stick it in and it’s job done?!
  5. Played in what used to be an old prison, I had the groove locked down....
  6. Happy to oblige in slapping Proby should the need arise again
  7. I am going for a photo finish - Sandberg the winner - both in championship record times
  8. Agreed there is a whole heap of synth in the background of a load of these tracks, but playing them live even in a 3 piece is entirely possible - the crowd will vibe off what you give them and won’t moan there was no synth. There are a load of synth guitar pedals out there to help with this, especially if you have 2 guitarists but I think drummers have to get on board with sample pads hooked up to the PA so they can trigger synth/samples/atmospheric sounds whatever. But as some of the guys have said, it’s a willingness for people to move out of 3 bar blues etc. Keys help, but there is loads that can be done without
  9. I’ll take the scratchings out the deal then
  10. Christ - stealth Rays are just the shizzle I’ll go in at £501 and a Bag of pork scratchings for this https://reverb.com/item/21845288-ernie-ball-music-man-bfr-stingray-bass-hades-black?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=21845288
  11. Oh I Kept up, know you want it again today, but tomorrow or the next day something else will tickle your pickle and get me rubbin me nubbin - its an endless cycle
  12. You don’t like your Flea bass - I’ll throw it in the deal for me
  13. Now This is a nice yammy https://reverb.com/item/31042764-yamaha-bb2024ma-michael-anthony-signature-bass-1-of-50-with-precision-jazz-tone?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=31042764
  14. Yep done it, works well, have a go and see if it works for you
  15. Thank goodness I didn’t post the gif
  16. Andy’s bass swap will be like a scene from Borat
  17. Maybe refinish the Flea in Brown and you will love it again
  18. Happy birthday!!!
  19. Stop messing Set and forget keep and play both
  20. Wait for the Fractal FM3 to come out and see if that suits with or without the FC6 controller. That has the same processing power as the Axe FX3 but in a small box
  21. Thanks for that - kind of you to write again for me/us
  22. I better do some homework and come out with a proper answer - cheers for that! it probably too complex to cover in a couple sentences - but where do you think the C4 shines above the FI and vice versa?
  23. Not heard the Tron in action but both sound banging - the second possibly a bit fuller in its presence. Been watching a fair few vids on the C4 and it’s very much the danglies from what I hear
  24. Aye looked good that did and a great Eden Rig as well. He had a floor controller too - Helix or Fractal?
