  1. Purchased Gibson bass from Stephen. I cannot imagine better packing, communication and egneral interest.. Real gentleman, a pleasure to deal with. Top! Not to mention that bass is great of course!

  3. Trade for '71 Ampeg V4 / '74 Ampeg V4B or '92 Ampeg SVT2? + a bit of cash?
  4. Yeah....I know the feeling. I dig the B15N now. But whole my life was SVT or V4B with 8x10...
  5. From my collection: Ampeg SVT from 1974 / 120V Just back from tech: cleaning, solder check-up; tubes/caps check-up and bias setup; preamp tubes are new/NOS, power tubes: plenty of life left; super silent cooling fan; Unfortunately this is US-only model and it can't be rewired for 240V (no special taps from transformer) so you must use external step down transformer 1500W (about £60). I am a long-time Ampeg collector so please ask anything. Trades only for vintage Orange Matamp 200 or Masterbuilt CS/vintage p-basses Sounds HUGE and beautiful! On my other ad you can find also a '72 blueline SVT. Free EU mainland/UK shipping (others, please ask) I can order flight case for +/- £100-120 NOW £2000!
  6. Open to offers (custom shop precision bass, telecaster bass, gibson g3)
  7. FREE SHIPPING /expedited/ to EU
  8. do you accept trades too? I have some vintage Ampeg gear...
  9. Glad to know! Love the sound of both records. What distortion pedal was used then? Big Muff?
  10. You're right. Tim has few of them probably
  11. If you want, by any chance change it to '72 blueline ampeg SVT, I'm ready to do a swap. By the way, OR200 is not the sound on the Blue Album, which was entirely recorded on Ampeg B15N (due to noise/electrical problems in the building with OR200). Don't remember what ended on Pinkerton.
  12. Ampeg SVT from 1972 / "blueline" / most sough-after version / 220-240V Just back from tech: cleaning, solder check-up; NOS Svetlana 6550"C" power tubes (few hours on them), all big power electrolytic capacitors replaced (Sprague/Mercury), preamp tubes: new/NOS, new cooling fan; This one is almost 50 years old but sounds like new and will serve you fine another years. I am a long-time Ampeg collector. Trades only for vintage Orange Matamp 200 or Masterbuilt CS P-basses. Free EU mainland/UK shipping (others, please ask) I
  13. Really? I would be in UK in the next month after sale (as I told OP). For me it smells only "too low bid" thing... Ah... never mind then.
  14. Well, you know, bass was listed as a "collection only" and PayPal option enabled, so this is not the case... Who cares that at the door is myself or my friend? Anyway, never mind. I have been on ebay for at least 15 years with 100% rating, sold many amps and guitars... I'm often in U.S, UK and travel a lot. No problem like that before, anywere. But good luck with your sale. Those necks are to die for. Better for small hands than early 60s stuff.
  15. To be clear. I was the guy who won the ebay auction. (It was super short time after I sold my oly white '66P here, to a basschat member). My closest friend from the band I was playing in the past was looking for a 60s Pbass and I told him mine was just sold.. so I could search for another as he is non-internet guy). I was the only bidder. Paid. Auction was "collection only" so I told you that someone will pick the bass because I am away from UK for a moment. You declined transaction. Probably you got unexpected too low offer and wanted to relist on different rules. Completely unprofessional move. Still, bass would be picked by my friend, but you don't wanted that for no reason or the reason I don't understand to this day.
  16. I barely hear any difference between 1960's EB2's bariton switch pressed/depressed. I mean, If I hear its more like " I think I hear something" but not much, really. Are these all like that or mine is bad? I was told it's good working and the difference between on/off is super small. Right? Wrong?
  17. Gilles has bought a 66P from me - very nice guy, quick payment, super communication, real Gentlemen! Thanks a lot again!
  18. Poland, 51-610. For the finish - my luthier is not sure, but he thinks it's original. Looks like no primer and no top clear coat - hence only mediocre yellowing. The did all that combinations things in 60s, prmiers, no-primers, clear coats, no-clear coats, mxed, color over color etc. I've got a PM from a member here yesterday that he sees paint in the holes that might be that it's not original. Btw, for your interest, here are two DEMO songs recorded live on tape with this '66 P (second song cut cut cut re-mixed) - bass is well pronounced. Amp is blueline SVT (that I might sell too someday) + vintage 8x10 cab and RE20 mic: https://www.dropbox.com/s/785y9diudh3v1nt/NAPALM.mp3?dl=0 and https://www.dropbox.com/s/m22zgxvhyv4yprf/Pomilczenie.mp3?dl=0 - mind you that I'm just retired guitar player that hit the bass like 15 years ago so playing with the pick mostly...
