  1. At least it's no longer possible anyway!
  2. 3.6 looks good though. Need to get my head around the Manager now... but it looks like it solves a lot of problems like patch ordering/organisation etc. No more renaming files?!😍
  3. I was using the correct editor for the firmware I had, though. I was running v3 editor with v3 firmware, and then updated to v3.6 during our troubleshooting session
  4. I would go to the patch before the one with Flexi EQ assignments, open the Graphic view on the Equalizer section, then go back to the patch with the Flexi EQ assignments, open the Equalizer section, and the Graphic view would be visible. If I then went to the Slider view, I could not get back to the Graphic view by clicking, and would have to do the trick over again. However it is worth noting that I was using the v3 editor, I only updated to 3.6 during our troubleshooting (skipping any versions between 3 and 3.6), so perhaps this was only possible on v3..? I have not tried to replicate this in the v3.6 editor yet, but as soon as I get some time I will try it, although it sounds like you already have?
  5. Ok sure, I'll try to recreate what I did again tomorrow. Will report back with what happens.
  6. Maybe, either way I won't be exploiting any workarounds with the Graphic/Slider EQ Panel view again, just in case lol!
  7. No, everything is working fine now. Thank you 👍
  8. It's working! I kinda forgot about the Boot Menu if I'm being honest... Thank you so much for your help as always, hero!! Worth noting that when I went to the Boot Menu and then went to Instrument Mode, all the options when turning the parameter dial were the glitched display I showed in my last post (all other modes displayed the correct things), so perhaps that was where the issue was?
  9. Sure, just tried it. Updated and loaded the default patches with nothing else hooked up to power supply and using a different power output, problem still persists . Here's what it displays upon power up (in order):
  10. No, currently the FI is hooked up to a PWT12 Palmer Power Bar, which is giving 12v to an OC2, 18v to a Cali compact bass, 9v to tuner and 9v to FI. Unfortunately this is the only power supply I have available at the moment.
  11. Yes. The pedal tells me the firmware is now 3.60, and I have extracted the patches from the FI to check that they are the default ones loaded.
  12. Are you able to explain this please? I tried checking the manual but it does not explain what CC2 is, only how it can be used. EDIT: I've read a little bit into what CC2 is, I still don't know how I would have sent CC2 though. My issues are still persisting after updating firmware, replacing my patches with the stock ones, and updating editor. Still getting a glitchy message (albeit slightly different from the one earlier) after 3.60 displays, after this, the display acts as normal but no VCF output. I'm quite worried that I've accidentally bricked the pedal.... I discovered the graphic EQ thing by accident, wish I hadn't lol..
  13. I'm going to try your suggestions above later this evening. Hoping updating will fix the issue, we'll see.
  14. Not sure, will refer to manual to see how to check this. Yes, only sending clean + effects (chorus etc). All patches having this issue. No recent updates, I updated to v3 as soon as it became available, well over a year ago now. I have not had any issues with the pedal all day (or ever), even after updating my patches. The pedal was working fine earlier when I messaged about the phaser notches etc. I've just turned everything on again and only the FI is having any issues. I've checked cables, power supply etc. it's giving me this interesting message on startup though.. Not sure if that helps.
  15. Now the pedal isn't producing any VCF signal.. only clean. No idea what the issue is.
  16. That's a good idea, I'm going to do the same and try some things out. For reference, I'm trying to make a patch for 'Another Man - Barbara Mason'
  17. I'm sure I'll get my head round it, I'm still trying to figure out the best placement/distance of each Flexi for the effect I want, but I'm getting some cool sounds and having fun along the way if you have any suggestions for notch placement/depth etc I'm all ears! I'm not sure of ideal freq to notch. I'm currently notching around 200 and 800. It sounds good, if not slightly muffled, but has a really nice warmth to it. Ok I'll try to avoid doing this then. Thanks again for the help, much appreciated as always.
  18. Thanks for the advice. The reason I assumed you should be able switch between the views is because at the end of the "FI as Phaser" section it says "Experiment with the frequency and shape of the LFO and with the depth, width and spacing of the notches." and so I was then confused when I could not access said notches to change them.
  19. Thanks for the reply. I've found a way to access the graphic panel though, go to another patch and bring up the graphic panel then switch back to the patch with Flexi controllers on the slider view, you'll have access to the graphic view again.
  20. Hey! I managed to get a phaser effect on one of my patches after following the manual's instructions on how to set it up using Flexi controllers to sweep the mids on the slider EQ panel, however once they're set up, I am stuck on the slider panel and cannot switch over to the graphic EQ panel to adjust the notches etc. If I switch to other patches, I am able to go between the two EQ views, but not on the patch with the phaser effect set up. Any idea what might be causing this issue?
  21. Always been a big fan of having a preamp pedal somewhere in my signal path, even with active basses, and often in differing positions. After a big pedal clearout, I'm left with an Aguilar Tone Hammer and a Darkglass Vintage Deluxe. Usually I'll run the Tone Hammer at the end of my chain for an overall tone control before going out. Does anyone use theirs solely as a drive? With the gain past noon and the AGS engaged it can get pretty hairy. I've also seen some players run their TH at the start of the chain, I suppose to control their clean tone precisely before it hits the effects in the chain. I'm finding myself seeing a use for mine diminishing though. With the Vintage Deluxe, I'll almost always use that as a low-gain drive or to get a boost in the high mids, it's a bit too bright and lacks warmth I want for it to be a general preamp for me personally. How do you use your preamp(s), and where do you put them in your chain? Interested to hear other people's setups
  22. Yeah that’s all correct. I have the Version 1 model and you can just update the firmware etc PLUS the sticker is way nicer than the V3, imo
  23. All these years I thought that Sterling was a budget line from Musicman, like Sub.. rather than a model of bass...

I have an EB Musicman Sterling. It rapidly became my go to bass. Top notch.

  24. I'm aware of all this, but as you say it's all relative to how the patch is set up, and that is the issue. Just hard to make precise changes on the fly without whipping out the laptop..
